On this note @Selvut283 , Perhaps you can close this thread and create a new one solely for the purpose of theorizing and solving the mystery of Gale and Ohms. Since we've already found the location of the Tomb.

 

Theorizing and speculating was what this thread was for. We turned it into the hunt thread.

 

No it wasn't, This thread started out with "Where is Gale's Tomb???" Because there was a Thread before this one, trying to get people to find the Tomb. And Selvut felt that a Hub thread would be required for the Story of Gale and Ohms.

 

This is the official information thread. It has all the known facts about Gale and Ohms, and was intended to be a theory hub, as the first post will attest to. However, it was turned into the new hub for the search inadvertently. As it were, I see very little reason aside from organizational issues that the thread should go, and unfortunately that can't really be helped.

 

I'm speechless... after all this time, we finally did it.
On another note: Who is ready for a party for finding it? Expect to see a post about that in the near future ;)

Recently I've been thinking about what the key might be, now knowing that it is not an item obtainable ingame and that it will most likely be dropped by Ohm's if you defeat him in the boss battle.

Assuming he built the tomb himself, he would probably want the key to be something that only he has (so no one but himself can enter) and is related to Gale in some way. By that logic I would guess it would be his wedding ring, generally considered as a promise (to go along with vows). This would tie in with the promise mentioned in the lore of the items, and it would be a fitting memento to leave at her grave.

This idea probably holds very little water, but I decided to post this thought anyway. Plus, it might be interesting to see how close I was to the actual item.

 

I like your idea, HOWEVER, I cannot image someone wanting to be buried without their wedding ring, if they never remarried and were still in love with their predeceased spouse. That doesn't make any sense to me, whatsoever.

 

His ring, not hers.
Assuming they never remarried, going by your logic they would have both kept their rings. Gale would have hers inside the tomb, Ohms would have his with him, meaning that when you would defeat Ohms in his lab you could obtain his ring.

 

Its not stated that Gale and Ohms are married however, only that they are "lovers"

Can someone summarize what happen after we found the tomb? We need an obtainable item to get in, and we're waiting for the lab?

Well, it was always for theorizing. It just inadvertently was turned into the hub for the hunt.

i think the ring theory has merrit, but i doubt its a ring... Is their something even more signifigant to lovers (an item)? Also, if ohms made the tomb for her, maybe he just made a special key, a litteral key?
