Gavel Mob Drops A Corruption-related Item?

I'm not sure if it's related to a quest, but there's a Level 55 spider in the Level 70 Light Forest.

Despite being a Light Forest mob, it decided to drop this:

Corruption Venom? Is this just a random mistake or something?
It confuses me because the Succori Parasites were spiders too. You can't drink the venom and dropping it onto Gale's tomb does nothing (although I have no idea why it would) so I'm confused.
It's on the north border of the forest. I forgot coords, sorry.

I'm pretty certain that this item is of no importance, might just be a leftover from plans for The Ultimate Weapon, or maybe it was part of a scrapped quest or something, I don't really know.
