I wouldn't be surprised if Selvut himself was bouncing between servers at his beloved tomb, checking for people doing exactly that.

 

I literally said that the item necessary to open the door is not yet obtainable...however, seeing as there is not anything in there yet, since you were not able to enter, and there is similarly no way to exit without scrolls or /kill...

Guys, we found Gale's Tomb! It is behind the Hive! Almost 100 pages of posts finally led to the discovery!

 

Still. As a moderator, I'm obligated to state that obviously intentional glitching such as that is against the rules and may result in a ban for the offending party if it continues.

As the creator of the search, I'm utterly disgusted that you would resort to doing that instead of playing out the secret as intended. This is not the search for The Lost in difficulty; the only reason it was so tough before was literally because of a mistake. Have patience, people. We have a lot planned, but there is nothing saying we cannot call it off and revert the changes if you prove yourselves unable to handle the responsibility.

I am perfectly willing to make your and my efforts for nothing if you cannot control yourselves.

It's great that people found the tomb, but I'm sorry, I have a bone to pick with you, @Selvut283 . I know you have said before that the Tomb was always existing, hidden behind a cobweb, but pre-push, I essentially memorized the Hive. Unless someone shows evidence that the way in existed pre-push, with a video or other method, I maintain that the Tomb lay elsewhere, or lay hidden behind a teleporter - which it is not now. The Hive has received a complete remastering with this push, there are so many more tunnels and mobs. The size of the Caves has more than quintupled. You also claimed that there was a nametag always visible in The Hive, high up, that we failed to see. There wasn't. I simply do not believe that Gale's Tomb was there pre-push. I don't wish to estrange you, but in over a month, Gale's tomb would have been found at the hive, no matter how secret.
Now, I just went there. The massive cave system extending upwards. None of that system, no upwards parts existed pre-push. The puny caves that were there before went up about twenty blocks then spit you back into the main area. It was impossible to find in the Hive, because it was not in The Hive. This is what I will believe unless I am shown otherwise. I may sound negative in this, but I just want vindication that what several of us have done for many weeks actually meant something before the push. This is the one thing I will not take your word for. I want hard proof that my fears are wrong. Thank you.

A side note: Someone added a barrier roof to The Hive from Y:149 to Y:157. If you climb the mountains from the outside, you can walk on top of it...

 

It's weird that no one ever find it, it seems like the cave got bigger and connected more after the update? I don't remember the cave go that high before the map update? Or maybe I'm just going crazy for trying to find gale XD

It is really weird that we are able to find it right after the update.

 

I have explained this elsewhere, I believe.

The grave was moved from its original location in this map push, but despite that it has remained within the Hive tunnels. At first, the Hive only contained the small network of tunnels visible from the outside before. Wasn't it strange, though, how there was one above the rest that appeared inaccessible?

That was because at first, they were not intended to be inaccessible. And they were not, somewhat miraculously. This tunnel was part of the system all along(though I cannot quite recall if the second hole next to it was always there or not), and led to this room.

The tunnel upwards from here, however, did not exist, and the grave was in the place of the cobweb just behind me, out of the picture. But, the large conjecture about it was not present at the time of my making the easter egg, thusly it was not even marked until afterwards. However, the Hive tunnels received an expansion, as another user noted. I can't be bothered right now to go back and look through them, but they noted that on the minimap there was a large stone block added behind the Hive. This was part of the expansion made to them, though keep in mind that the blockage was not discovered until the midst of the expansion. Said blockage was here.

Despite everyone's best efforts, it seems the gap left in the wall and webbing(the builder who did this will again, remain unnamed for sake of keeping them from being lynched, but I will say they were very new at the time and were not 100% clear with the plans for the cave)went unnoticed. I admit, I did not notice it until I ensured that the area was accessible, and even then I checked it from the non-entering side of the room. To elaborate, this angle in particular.

During the expansion, I felt it necessary to both improve the grave and move it grave upwards, which led to the given hints. I expected a map push much sooner than had happened, however. I understand how misleading this must have seemed, and I am sorry for the conjecture. However, I assure you. It was there.

The chances of that happening are astronomically low, you realize.

 

@TheAule @SkySez - Cool it, take the victory that we have, that the community now has- and do not doubt Selvut- Why would he have ANY reason to lie to us? He confirmed with us many times that it was their, that he checked it himself- and lets be honest- did you craw through every single cobweb? Every single one? Dont be angry at him. Like he said about his being wrong when he checked yesterday before the update-
