A Little Hole

While walking through an area that's high enough to give me a nosebleed, I came across this little hole. Now, I know that builders have a sense of humor. I've fallen in my fair share of 1x2 holes. I've walked across wooden structures and fallen in what can only be called jails, because the only way out is /kill. I've walked over some of the nice looking glass-magic blocks, and whoopsie!, fallen in where only /kill will get a player out. But this? THIS?! Who in the blue blazes made this thing? And don't give me that line "Oops. Sorry. I forgot to fill it in," because I'm not buying it. I teleported my mage over a small gap or over some lava, if I remember correctly, and there, right in front of me, if I hadn't looked down (yes, my attention was drawn to something in the distance, and not by accident), was this little hole. Did I say a little hole? Let me correct that. More like a Hole From Hades. More like The Mother of All Holes. That's it! The Mother of All Holes From Hades! Builders. Gee, you think you would remember to fill this in, but Noooooo! Builders . . . just, builders.

There are some of these holes here and there.
There's one in the mountain at Cinfras, I jumped down with purpose. 乁(◔ᴥ◔)ㄏ
I assume they're not made with purpose x3

 

Yeah, I also found one on a mountain in the Canyon of the Lost. Only archers or mages could've fallen into it. Almost fell in while going to Thesead.

Its like when you're doing the worm holes quest in a party and someone falls in the holed with the cobweb. xD

 

A lot of holes like this could be for lighting down below. I know over Rodoroc there are a few (that are supposed to be sealed at the top using glass and carpet,) that have alternating red and back glass going down to make it look black. They light up the ground quite nicely. It's possible that someone left this unsealed. Bad someone!
