How To Improve Your Skin In 3 Simple Steps

Hello, this Riesenkalmar bringing you another thread.

As you might know, there are skins in Minecraft. You can customize these in any way you want.
But heres the catch: Most of the skins you see ingame are plain and look ugly, so I'll be telling you how to improve YOUR skin in 3 simple steps.

First of all, I advise you to use some kind of website for modifying your skin, for example Novaskin.

Now, to get to the tips.

1. Add Color Variation - Most skins are made up of only 3-5 different colors. Try changing this by randomly adding slightly lighter or darker spots.
2. Add Shade - The Majority of simple skins looks to bright, but you can change this by simply adding darker spots in some places of the skin (Behind the arms etc.)
3. Finally, use 1.8 to your advantage! With the implementation of layers and the thinner arms (3x4 instead of 4x4 pixels) try making your skin look less flat!

3. Whoever comments on the thread, steal their skin (using needcoolshoes or similar)

1. My skin is made of a variety of colors:
Dark Brown: Hair on head
Brown: Poo stain on pants
Light brown: Skin color
White: Eyes and teeth
Pink: Eyes
Black: Eyes and mouth
Light Yellow: Teeth
Light blue: Shirt
Dark grey: Suspenders
Grey: Suspenders and shoes
Dark blue: Pants
2. IMO my skin is good enough without shade, and majority of stuff in minecraft (vanilla) does not have shade, and I have some OCD
3. Maybe I should add ridiculously ugly layers that are way uglier than my skin which I will never use, so that if someone tries using mob disguise to impersonate me, they look nothing like me, and plus I think my skin looks good enough without needing layers.
I like my fat arms.

 

I know other 3 steps how to improve your Minecraft skin:
1. Go to PlanetMinecraft
2. Download/Steal your favourite skin
3. Useless step, don't do it at all

Noise filter is meant to add noise, not to shade

See how the blue on the shirt has other colors in it but still looks blue? That's noise
