So everything has a first, from the first man who stepped on the moon to the first time I discovered shoes have designated side to them. How did you first discover Wynncraft and what was your first impression of it?

Here's my story (Grab a drink beforehand you might be in for quite a read, or fall asleep halfway through):

It was back in... 1.4 I think or 1.5. I was bored out of my mind and a survival server I played on decided to call it quits due to the owner losing interest in Minecraft. So the group from that server was still very much intact and they told me to get on Wynncraft. I was not enthusiastic at first because I usually shy away from trying new things, eventually I decided to just give it a go.

And as expected, I am clueless as to what is going on and spawned in in Ragni and was so amazed by the build style. But I had to rely on Rei's Minimap to get around because... Let's just say if I were to invent a GPS, people would get lost as frequent as they would using Apple Maps. Before I know it I was doing quest after quest after quest. I even skipped a few classes to just be on Wynncraft.

I didn't even know CraftedMovie owned Wynncraft at the time. Until one day I saw Grian's name mentioned as I was browsing the wiki. I was a big fan of Minecraft Machinimas at the time. The go-to channels for me were ExplodingTNT, ItsJerryandHarry and CraftedMovie.

But as I reached Level 67-68, I start getting bored (this was pre-Gavel) and grinding in the Miner Cave opposite Troms was so boring I once actually was half asleep midway through.

One day I heard there were new quests so I got on and decided to do the one in Ragni first about the wedding ring and I accidentally accused Grian of hacking haha. Found in the picture below. Probably one of my funniest moments in Wynncraft because I hate hackers and seeing someone fly like that sets off alarms in my head. Looks up and see Grian. Oh man I wasn't expecting that. BTW you can't see him in the picture as I was on my old laptop and he was beyond my render distance on top of the arches in Ragni.

Eventually I finished all those quests and I stopped Wynncraft. Because I would need to grind 4 more levels to play the Temple of Legends and I am not about to toss in hours upon hours to grind that, even Grian agreed that the game was too grindy on his channel prior to Gavel release.

Gavel is released now but I have trouble connecting in the starting weeks. I would get over 4000 ping all the time when I was fine everywhere else so I had to return later than others so join the late crowd. It took me 2 months before stepping in with a good connection and I have to say that Llevigar took my breath away as I walked in. The sheer beauty of Llevigar is just beyond words. This makes the delay worth it, and the quests no longer require you to run across the whole province to get to the next point, instead they are much closer to each other than they ever have been before which was awesome.

One thing that did kind of upset me a little is the nerfing of the Arrow Storm (I only play Archer). The enemies now gets pushed back as if getting hit by a bus going 80 km/h and the damage is lessened. But I do understand the reason behind it. Before that I hardly ever use Bomb Arrow and just sprayed the Arrow Storm like a P90 in CSGO. Now I rely a lot on Arrow Shield and Bomb Arrow and the monsters in Gavel do kind of require you to do that as a lot of them homes in on you as a group. That and I am too lazy to aim for precise shots so I just LRR and watch them go up in flames.

A question I always had in my mind about this server is: Where is Bouledeneige? If this is CraftedMovie's home, where is he? I don't see him as a GM, a Moderator, or anything staff related?

Well that is pretty much all I have about my experience here. I really enjoyed this server and do hope to get on and start questing until I hit Lvl100 or until the pre-Gavel boredom sets in.

The first time I got on must've been around March or April 2014; this was due to InTheLittleWood's series.

I simply joined, chose Mage (because Mage master race, thanks) and seeing as I only had Minecraft for 6 months before that and had never seen such a thing, I was overwhelmed with what was offered.
Simply amazed, is how I'd describe it.

After I completed every single quest I could do in Ragni and those areas, I head on to that strange little forest (I did not know what lied ahead). When I got out of the forest, I met my first friend in WynnCraft, @lewisjosh (who is no longer with us). He had a warrior, and we decided to join each other. He was always the map reader.

At this point, I had showers of dopamine all over myself during my first three-four weeks, simply because of how amazed I was. The music (Thank you @Needlr ;D ) just made the experience that much better :D

Lewis and I lost contact during the level 50, but we could still keep in touch over Steam. Anyhow, this was when I heard about the forums. I think I was standing in Detlas, when some moderator runs in and links something on the forums, which I can't help but look at. I notice "Oh, hey, there's a forum for this thing?! Count me in! ;D". That's the start of the forums-era.

After a while of sitting around, not being bothered to grind, I notice Grian setting up this thread for builder applications. I instantly run over to it, PMd him some very poor builds (it was like some weird harbour), and did this a few times. I was denied each time, obviously.

I let a few months pass, and after countless time spent in front of the forums fishing likes (yes, we all have done this) I decided to give building a shot again. I power up a bukkit server, throw in some VS and WE, and just get going. Practicing and showing it off under the Your Work-section really helped me during this time. I finally felt like it was time to apply for builder, again.

Somewhere in early 2015 I get my trial. Grian stated that the application was not strong (indeed), but he was thinking of giving me a shot at it. I did some desert canyon terrain, but that failed, and I was granted another chance. If it wasn't for @Headset_O , I would had been doomed. I really have Headset to thank for everything I have today, with you people.

    2000 ticks later...

... So yeah, that's how my piano merged into my violin.

Anyhow, it's great being here. I never regret taking the step of joining here for the first time, because this is like a relax-zone for me from real life.
    Thanks!

Wow, that's a really good question! Ill try to explain it the best I can:

    Wynncraft, The Ocean Update:

I discovered Wynncraft by watching the "CraftedMovie" channel. I remember thinking: "What the hell, a MMORPG in Minecraft?? Let's try it out!" (Idk why but it was what I was looking for).

When I first entered the world, with the old lobby, with those structures... We can say I practically fell in love with this server <3. I played and played, I bought the Vip, for getting the Old "Double XP bonus". I don't regret that transiction although they removed that bonus for EULA's Rules, at least I have my "Veteran" tag now :D. I remember playing first with the Archer, and then with the Assassin, class that, if you remember, you could do the Animal Dungeon like a boss, vanishing with those "TotallyNotOpLvL70SheeeepsThatWon'tInstaKillYou".

Thats a bit my experience. Hope I have explained well. I'm happy I discovered this years ago, really <3.

Haha I used to farm those dungeons back when I was Level 30ish, never thought I'd be afraid of sheep until I saw those, had to spring across quickly or risk getting killed by them. And now at Level 72. I feel like I can take on the sheep. I might just try that soon when I find a reason to return to Wynn from Gavel. Probably for Bob's quest.

Alright, here's my story! Note that a lot of the details I've forgotten, so yeah. This is also a wall of text at times, be careful!

Reader: Be a girl known as AgentBenny, about 2-3 years ago.
You love anything fantasy, especially if it involves magic and dragons. You discovered Dungeon Realms, played for a bit, and left due to the terrible community. However, you loved the idea of an MMORPG in minecraft! You go onto youtube then, due to your love of machinimas at the time. Your favorite of all of these are CraftedMovie! You go onto CraftedBonus to watch some hilarious bloopers when you notice a video with Salted and Grian playing an MMORPG called Wynncraft. This would surely quench your thirst for a fantasy MMO in minecraft!
    AgentBenny: Join the server.
You join the server, and look at the lobby. It's a simple stone brick box with some portals to two different servers, and a third one closed off. There's some parkour behind you, along with some credits to people you don't even know about. You walk into one of them and are dropped into a selection room. You can choose between Warrior, Mage, Archer, and Assassin - however, assassin was blocked off due to you being a member. You choose Mage, as who DOESN'T LIKE MAGIC???? You play for a bit, then decide to switch class. You meet some people like Wortho - a high-leveled person, Abandonedbank - who even likes him, and Eduard0 - i think??? You even find your favorite youtuber, Failboat103, plays! OH MY GOD!!!! You eventually switch to an archer and get stuck in a prison cell. However, due to an info thing, you learn that this server has a website...
AgentBenny: Look at the website. Join the forums.
THIS IS AWESOME!!! There's even a leaderboard for the highest-level people! You really want to get on that leaderboard, and notice that Warrior has the lowest leveled people on it. If you want to get on that leaderboard, it'll be easiest as a Warrior. You switch to it and get playing. You start looking at Acer78 as your hero. However, the website also has forums! You make an account and have fun. However, one of the strange things that you do is to have a different username for EVERYTHING. You go on as Clouded, as air is clearly the best element. (spoiler alert: i only have one class maining in air now.) You meet people called BaconChemist, sc1020, and JohnDSi. You engage in ALL THE ROLEPLAYS. It's great. Meanwhile, you stop playing for a while, because the forums are just too cool.
Clouded: Become an awesome and popular person.
You eventually become one of the better-known people, but it takes a while. You make random posts, help people, do generally nice things. However, you're pretty humble, and just consider yourself a random person with an obsession with air magic stuff. Eventually someone makes you a render, and you freak out over BEING CONSIDERED POPULAR. You could hang out with the cool people now. Yes. At this point you barely play Wynncraft but eventually you go back to it.
    Clouded: Skip to name changes.
NAME CHANGES IN MINECRAFT?!?!?!? SWEET! You know better now, and want your minecraft username to change to match your forum username. Everyone's getting in on the action and you want to too. You decide that you want to become Clouded in minecraft, but know instantly that it's going to be taken. You have to get creative. However, recently you've gotten into Pokemon and love Altaria. Clouded + Altaria = Cloudaria. Yes, that is your new name.
    Cloudaria: Become fandom trash.
Remember sc1020? He's Tantibus now! He's been around for a while and you consider each other good internet friends. You're talking in the shoutbox when he starts going on and on about how AWESOME the midseason finale of a cartoon called Gravity Falls will be. You ask about it, and Tanti just goes on about secret codes and character development. Two things you love. Especially you love secret codes. Screw it, you're going to watch this cartoon despite the fact that it's made for kids. Thus, you then enter Fandom Hell. Gravity Falls leads to Steven Universe. Steven Universe leads to you finishing Homestuck. You get reminded of the fact Undertale exists from like all three. A hiatus guide from Steven Universe leads to you reading Cucumber Quest. How did you get wrapped up in so many fandoms? You have no idea
    Cloudaria: Become a moderator.
Well, one day you're just browsing then all of a sudden INBOX. You check it, expecting someone to ask when we're actually doing stuff in your guild or modpack stuff. However, it's from Grian! WHAT??? You then open it and guess what, you're invited to be a mod. You make a skype account and join in on the fun. Woo. They tell you how to moderate and you tell them tales of how you literally had a dream the night before about you getting mod. It's okay.
    Cloudaria: GAVEL RELEASE OMGOMGOMG
It's Gavel's release day! Tensions are high. You grab your phone when you go to bed because you know you're staying up for the release of this thing. (spoiler alert: takes until midnight. 5 hours of sleep ftw) You play a bit and oh my god, best thing ever. You're hyped for the followup update. Powders sound amazing. It's going to be great. You get to level 96 on that warrior. You try and start new classes. You delete your first ever class. It's just AMAZING IN EVERY WAY.

So yeah, my tales of Wynncraft! It's a bit long, but still fun.

    Ok my story...

This was back around the middle of 1.7, I had played offline minecraft for a very long time, until around 2013, I started looking for servers but that will play a little later on in my little story...

So in 2014 I would watch thinknoodle's day and night, until one day I see a video titled, Dramatic Cow, I click it and of course it was a dramatic cow, so I started bench-watching these videos made a youtuber call crafted movie until I noticed something... a video titled The Ocean Update, and it was posted around 2012 or somthing I forget, I watched it and saw it was for some server, and by the look of the trailer, I thought it was a factions/survival server, note Remember I said at the start I was looking for servers to play on. So what did I do? I added the server to my server's list and played, since then I have played and played and played, and made a forums and here I am now.

Most people call me the drug dealing llama
Some even call me evil and satanic,

The first time I ever saw Wynncraft was watching the Let's Play Co-op series done by BDoubleO100 and Generikb, also well-known as the B-Team. Despite both of them being overwhelmingly horrible players, the amusement and the sheer quality of the builds, quest system, and other features kept me interested. Due to not being able to play Minecraft at the time because of computer issues, I was content with merely watching the series instead of being able to play it. Eventually, however, they stopped their LP and I forgot about the server for a while.

At a later time, I found myself searching for RPG servers in Minecraft and stumbled across a Littlewood video about Wynn. I didn't even take the time to watch the video, because the moment I remembered the builds and quest system I was already turning on my computer.

Upon joining, I found that a new update had just recently been launched to 'Rediscover the Province,' leading to even more spectacular builds. Ever since then I have drawn many other people to the server to play with me, and have now reached Level 79 as a Warrior, as well as having well over 150 total levels between all of my classes. To this very day I still enjoy the quests and the builds, as well as the outstanding music.

While it's not too exciting of a story, and it's not quite as old or nostalgic as some of the other stories here, joining the server for the first time still holds fond memories for me.

But when I actually joined the community and started playing on a new class, that was 5 days ago. I've since leveled up my archer to level 40

I started 2+ years ago, back when VIP Town was still around. I was playing skyblock on another server and watching youtube videos at the same time. I saw BdoubleO100 and GenerikB started a series on WynnCraft and it looked really awesome. I started playing and loved it, but obviously I was a huge noob at the time. I played for about three months I think and in that time got a lvl 59 mage, lvl 57 assassin, lvl 50 warrior, and lvl 43 archer. I just couldn't stick with one class for some reason.

Now I started back up a few weeks ago and made a knight. Currently level 87 on him and much much more interested in the game than ever before.

My cousin and I always player MC together. I used to player this awesome server called West World, but it died and is only now getting back up (Don't consider this advertising since I admit it sucks right now). So my cousin and I struggled finding fun MC servers. We stuck with Mineplex for a bit (Don't consider this advertising either, everyone knows the server) and I grew bored of that. I really wanted like an RPGMMO kind of server, so I take a look around and find Wynncraft

When it comes to class based games I always play as either a basic based class or a sword based class (like rapier kind of sword, not broad sword) so I automatically pick Mage. My cousin always plays an assassin class or a ranged class, and due to his amazing ability with an MC bow, he picks Archer.

So we play, I find the map on the website. He levels up much faster than me in the early levels. As we are very competitive I rag rivaled me to see him level 8 and me level 6. I start playing a hella ton more than him and he gets board. By the time I am level 21 he is level 13. He does not like the fact that I am so much more powerful than him, so he quits. Currently I still get him to come on everyone once In a while, but I am level 57 and he's level 21. You get the point.

But let's jump back to when I am level 18-21. When I start to like something, I get OBSESSED. I scan the wynncraft wiki page after page until I think I know everything. But something bugs me. Cryptic little hints and clues can be found about Dern, but after scanning the wiki, no one seems to know anything about the place.

I learn about the forums. I make my forums account for the soul purpose of making a theory on Dern. That was my first theory ever. And I got my first comment ever from @Yuno F Gasai. Since then it was smooth sailing (except for the occasional haters). I leveled up from level 39-41 just before Gavel came out, so I was right in the level range for the gavel release.

On the forums I had made a name for myself. I had become the most famous theorist on the forums, for better or for worse, and I just continued working. I somewhere along the line met @Rujala who later become one of the main inspirations for some of my theories. I always thought @MarkedForDeath was better though. But one day he tagged me in one of his posts asking me what I thought, and from that day forward I saw the other main theorists as equals.

On January 8, 2016 the Cult was founded, and from then on that's pretty much it. That's brings us up to present day where I play on this server when I can, am always on the forums.

Oh boy, where do I start. I've been playing Minecraft since late 2012, and I was starting to get bored of it after the summer of 2014. So I asked my friends if they knew any good servers. We went on for a while seeing if we had the same ones, if there were new ones, etc. I found some really cool ones, but Wynn immediately captured my attention. I've always been a fan of MMORPGs, and Minecraft, so that alone was enough for me to try it out. I was impressed by how well everything was put together, how simple but complex it all was, and the music too. :P

In about a month I surpassed all my other friends who played, even though they'd been playing for at least a year. I was pretty much addicted... We all played together, and eventually made a guild August 31st, the last day of summer before the 2014-2015 school year. By this point, me and a lot of my friends played, and we were all about level 40-45, except me, I was 50.

And, as anyone that was year for at least 2 months will know, the grind from level 50 up was atrocious. Hell on earth. Brimstone and fire burning all life. This is when all of my friends stopped playing, except me. I was determined to escape the grind, which I thought ended at 55, ya'know, with TWO WHOLE QUESTS in a single level! And when I reached the summit of that 50-55 mountain, I was met with depression. I joined a guild, an old top guild, The Blues, who I hear are making a comeback, to try to fight the despair. But alas, it was too late. Even worse grinding. The herb cave *shudders*. Then, to make it worse, the owner kicked everyone in the guild. So I quit.

However, I still kept up with the news, and when I saw that Gavel was announced for "Summer 2015" I was so excited for something new! 50 quests! Level 40 and up? THAT WAS ME. So I hopped back on. I was so excited that I decided to play from scratch. I dumped some money into Wynn and bought VIP+, because I generally loved the server, and wanted to support the Gavel development. I loaded up a Knight, and played that.

I bet some of my best friends on Wynn during this replay, and I can never say I regretted it. Around level 30, I was running my "super op storng guild1!11!1" into the ground my attacking some of the bigger ones. While I was attempting to fight against one of the big guilds, I met their leader, and we started talking. Later on that day, I met 3zPz, who ran Historical, before the guild glitch stuff. I started talking with both of them, while continuously leveling up.

I was tired of my guild and having nobody on after a while, so I left it to my alt, and joined Historical. Soon after, I finally reached level 75. Shoutout to Megalovania for getting me through the grind in the Herb Cave during October. I made some new friends, some enemies, and finally felt apart of something, now that I could actually stand up to bigger guilds, and bigger players. I loved watching alliances and friendships rise and fall, shift and change.

Then it happened. The last day of fall. After being lied to about Gavel for the summer, this was their last chance at redemption from their "Soon" lies. And, as 11:55 rolled around, I was crying (nt rly) that it wasn't out. Then, at 11:58, it came. They made it. (Barely). Gavel was out. Naturally, I hopped on, and was amazed by all the new buildings, mechanics, puzzles, everything! I kept exploring and advancing, wasting LE after LE on skill scrolls to find my perfect build, and I did it after a while. (50/50 Split STR/DEX Knight) So that brings us to today.

    Tl;dr
I was immediately amazed by Wynn from the moment I joined, and fell in love with the style and community. The grind discouraged me, but Gavel brought me back. I ended up getting in multiple top guilds, before returning to my own. I still play today, more than ever. I think Wynncraft is an amazing concept, and well executed. I would love to support again, but honestly, I don't have the money atm. Keep up the amazing job, staff, and the community, keep being awesome.

So I used to watch CraftedMovie all the time. About 3 years ago I tried to join their survival server, but was denied. So I stopped playing Minecraft as much because it wasn't as fun at the time. I wanted something that was like an mmorpg. So one day about half a year after I stumbled across CraftedMovie again and I was like ah hwat the hell might as well watch them again. So I did for a while and I saw their Wynncraft trailer, the first one.

I watched the trailer and I was like oh my god this is what I was looking for, so I hopped on as soon as I could. It was the lobby with the 18 portals, at that point I tried to go to the build/dev server first thing, but I couldn't. So I joined picked warrior and started to roam around and grind, there were no such things as quests... After a while of grinding my way to the jungle I came across a person that was rude and enjoyed yelling at people for taking their kills... @Abandonedbank So I ignored him and his AFK amine ways. I then found the legendary leaderboard, and saw I was close to actually being on it so I was determined to grind my way to the top and be a part of the top 10 warriors. I had VIP at this point but there was this one kid that somehow stayed ahead of me *they were not VIP, and prob played 24/7* In this time of grinding I met some cool people, among them were @PhoenixJHyde one of my first friends and still good friend today, @samabizzle may his college ways release him someday, @J6Unlimited He will always be j6 I don't care what you say invited me to all the swarm parties, those were a thing back then. There were also some other people like Abyssalmelody, Daktoa, Filifolia, Emerly. but they weren't as close as the others.

So after grinding to the top I joined the forums and tried to be as helpful as I could *I may have been aiming for mod* so I tried to be helpful and very active in talking to people in-game and on the forums, mods included. I also talked to mods on ts or skype during this time. One day I got a message in my inbox it was from salted and he asked me to be mod, I flipped out and said yes. And from then on shenanigans were caused which I will not say here but if you're a mod then you might get to know... So that is my first/second month of Wynncraft summed up, it was pretty cool and I am glad to have found this server when I did.

So let's see, I'm not too sure about when I joined the server for the first time, but I remember it was in the beta days of Wynncraft, before the Ocean Update. (Actually when I think of this, it may have been in the really early days of Wynncraft, something around July 2013)
Actually, I remember that I discovered Wynncraft and CraftedMovie at the same time, I was watching random things on Youtube when I stumbled unpon one of CraftedMovie's video ; I really liked it and decided to watch some other videos of this channel.
That's when I saw a trailer in their recent videos, I thought : "Humm let's see what is it all about."
And at this moment, I was amazed by what I was seeing : "An MMORPG in Minecraft ?! Well that's sure look really interesting."
So I joined the server and started playing on it, I started as an archer for the simple reason that I always thought they look awesome.
But at the time, I didn't really get hooked up at this server, mainly because I wasn't really good at english at that time, (English isn't my native language by the way) and all the quests were just meaningless tasks for me. I may have went to around level 30 with my archer before quitting.
But several months later, I came back, the server was still in my server list and I thought : "Well... This has been a long time, why not just play a little of Wynncraft ?). At that time, I was already pretty good at English, and enjoyed the game even more than before.
After serveral breaks, I reached up around level 55 with my archer, and really started to get bored, as the game was really nothing more than gridding at that time, and I probably stopped Wynncraft again for maybe half a year.

But something happened... and I think you already know what it is, Gavel came out !!! I even restarted a whole new class, I was so excited ! That was really like a brand new experience for me. That was also the time when I joined the forum, Wynncraft was feeling so new to me.

And here I am, writting those line....
Wait !!! Wasn't I supposed to wrote down just my first time at Wynncraft ?! And here I am wrotting my whole Wynncraft journey !!
Well, nevermind, I still had a good time writting all my story, I am feeling melancholic for some reason... Wynncraft... you hold a special place in my heart...

I played Factions, and someone from there introduced me to this server. I thought it was fun, and played after they quit. I dicked around a bit became the first level 70 mage (legit) and then harassed players until everyone got so used to it that it became expected, and lovable. Then I got staff, and everyone loves me.
