Guide Effect Of Blindness On Mobs (w/ Video)

Just throwing this out here in case anyone did not know (mostly newer players).

Mobs affected by blindness will treat you as if you are invisible; they basically go passive for the duration.
This increases the utility of the following spells:

-Assassin's Spin Attack (Grade II)
-Archer's Escape (Grade III)
-Archer's Arrow Shield (Grade II)
-Mage's Teleport (Grade III)

I always thought those upgrades were useless in PvE....

And of course Warrior doesn't get shit

 

Do you know how long the blindness lasts?

Spin attack, I'm assuming, is around 2 seconds (there is not an exact number on the help page).
Escape and Arrow Shield are both 2 seconds, and Mage's Teleport is 5 seconds.

 

Just put pictures from the help page on her so people can see all the stuff that the spells do

 

Thanks ... I did not know this. By the way does anyone know if Ice Snake has blinding effect? I ask because when i was dueling a mage, some spell, not Teleport, maybe it was ice snake or meteor, did cast a dome of darkness outside a certain radius circle around me. It lasted a few seconds.

 

Mages typically combine spells together to form a combo, so most likely he first used Ice Snake and followed with Teleport so that you'd be Blind and Slow for an easy Meteor.

 

I don't think teleport blinds anymore...

 

It does it was just bugged during early post Gavel.

 

I thought this only applied in PvP.. xD

I had no idea this acted as a reverse invisibility, making mobs see you as invisible instead of you being invisible. I figured it was simply a useless effect, since it's mainly for (Custom) PvP. Thanks for clarifying this!
