The Headless Hunt Quest Broken

I got through most of the quest up until i have to destroy the lost souls. Whenever I destroy them i Get a dust but it doesn't update my quest book. I even tried going back to Referick but nope still not working.

 

You don't kill those mobs, you kill a certain one deeper in the cave, I forget what its called, but its on the ground floor of the prison

 

You need to defeat the Lost Spirits and then return the item they drop to Referick. The stage doesn't update when you leave; you just need to give the drop.

 

I talk to Referick but he doesn't take the memento of the lost

 

I'm inside of his mansion, and I cannot enter the Gullitine in his yard. I looked in the quest book, and it says to look for his story. I read the story, and I still cannot enter the Gullitine. What am I to do? Plz help...

Ok... now I have killed the Lost Spirits multiple times, and my quest book is not updating. I got the memento of the lost, and still nothing is happening... I cannot continue this quest now unitl my quest book updates. What do I do?

 

Just pass it to roderick

 

I even tried going back to Referic to prove I got the souls back, but it said check your quest book for what to do next. It said go kill the Lost Souls... I do not know what to do...
