SPOILER The Treaty (possible Future Quest?)

Well it's just that so many of these races have nothing to do with each other. Like what does the king of ragni care about the Gert situation

 

Hard to imagine this happening. Plus, I'd rather the opposite happen: Everyone goes to war.

 

It's not so much that he cares about the gerts in specific, its more that I'm certain after 100 years of dealing with corruption, Wynn really doesnt want to start fights with other folks (so much in fact, the king of Troms immediately gave into Gavel's Higher Ups' demands). At this point, seeing how Wynn is pretty well together (none of the cities hate each other, I don't think), trying to go for peace with the various races in Gavel would be/could be beneficial for Wynn, even if the government of Gavel is trying to kill us. Further, the king of Ragni might not even know the gerts exist (tho the Gerts know about humans, so who knows?) and the fact there is a group of people who'd be friends with anyone who gives them food for their tribe, peace between the too could be easy.

See, everyone wants to go to war, but why? Wynn has already had tons of people slaughtered due to the Corruption alone, and the king of Troms even surrendered his power to the WynnExcavation team to avoid conflict with Gavel's Higher Ups. Wynn itself, at this point, really doesn't want to fight others unless it would be an absolute emergency (another horde of undead attacks). In fact, there are still buildings burning from the last attack of undead, scattered throughout Wynn. And with the people of Gavel: Hobbits, usually in all forms of media, are seen as peaceful, almost cowardly people, never wanting to fight. They really don't have an army so them getting into a fight would be deadly for them. Villagers are a mixed bag, depends how crazy they are, but Olux, Geliboord, Dark Forest Village, and Lexdale have almost no defenses, except for maybe a few golems here and there, so them fighting would be more costly to them than others. The dwarves, well one of their cities was just burned by a dragon, and Thesead is currently fighting monsters (I dont think theyre Doguns, but there's a good chance, I just dont remember the mobs), and Dogovi only has a few dwarves to defend themselves. Elves, the elves are more than capable at defending themselves, but theyre also extremely smart: Why would they ever want to fight? They have everything they need to survive in Aldorei. Or they have hallucinogenic drugs. The trolls have already signed for peace, so thats one of the green skins dealt with when it comes to fighting. Also, it shows that the green skins, even though fighting is in their blood, they will and can negotiate for peace. The gerts; Theyre trying to survive, and they get treated like theyre a bunch of horrifying monsters. They already lost a huge war, and now are trying to fight their eating problem (tho now, it seems like they may have access to a ton of meat now). They also care about the well being of their children, so going to war after they already lost, and currently have a problem (which may or may not be resolved) would be detrimental to their well being, and there's a good chance they know that.
The only ones that currently really want to fight are orcs, goblins, doguns and Gavel's Higher Ups, everyone else is either currently content with where they are, or trying to survive where they are. Not everything needs to be resolved to violence.

 

Eh, it only takes one race to start a huge war, and you just listed 4.

 

There's also the whole "Enemy of my enemy is also my friend" thing, which could also apply to where all the races that like the player would help fight the races trying to kill everything.

 

Since the player has good standings with most races, maybe there could be a choice quest involving who's side you fight on?

 

Sure, but the only actual "side" that really exists currently is Gavel's Higher Ups. Everyone else seems to be a miscellanious party thats caught in the works of Gavel's Government.
