A Note To Salted

On the /find removal - it's a bug. We switched networks so the command is broken. Mods really need /find so to remove it would cause chaos. Just wait for Jumla to work his magic :D

Still a little confused why Bob's Mythic Weapons were nerfed... to even get them you have to beat one of the hardest bosses in the game and the weapon is the reward for that difficult feat, so you would expect it to be pretty powerful. Though to be fair once you got them you could just immediately get rid of your other weapons because it was so powerful. But still it was a reward from one of the harder bosses in the game and while it does replace most other weapons I still liked it because it meant I didn't have to carry around like five different (elemental) wands just to be prepared for most mobs.

 

This isn't completely true. I use 4 spears in total, depending on the situation. I use bobs for bosses and tanky mobs, scythe for lifesteal, blade of purity for mana regen and xp bonus, and aldo for very specific situations. As it stands now, my Bob's mythic spear is just about as useful as my blade of purity, which sucks considering it took a party of 16 people including myself just to kill him.

That doesn't even take into account the amount of times Ive tried to kill bob with multiple people. My first was with 4 second was with 8, and my third was with 12 people. The third time we quit and did toa instead.

 

Before I got my Bob's Wand I would actually use up to 5-6 wands because of elemental damage, I am not sure how bad the nerf is as I haven't been on today but from what I have heard it is a pretty bad nerf. Which would suck considering Bob is a really hard boss, so it would really suck to nerf the weapons in any sort of way.

 

Nuuuuuu, my Maxed 26% Walk Speed Angel Robes are now 19% ;-;

 

They were literally as powerful as Lv 100 legendary items and you obtained them at Lv 75 or so.

For example, a Lv 99 rare wand, Predposledni. Deals 180-230 damage.
Before the nerf, Bob's Mythic Wand dealt 185-265 damage. They were obviously unbalanced and needed to be nerfed.

 

Maybe.. but now nobody will use them at all. In my opinion, Maelstrom was undoubtedly the best bow until Spiritshock at 81 already, and then you go and nerf Bob's...

 

Well bob's was ridiculously op , it needed a nerf. It's damage was typically higher then many level 90-100 wands, so yeah why wouldn't they nerf it

 

So, uh, nobody but Snowing, oya and myself are annoyed about Jester Set's Spell Damage not working yet?

Yeesh, kids whining about their broken XP these days.

 

Nerfing all of those items is a major negative.
I don't honestly think he understands how useful those little treasure items you can find are.
Why not keep them as specialty items instead of ruining what people have and causing people the stress?

If every class has a specialty item.. then I honestly see no harm and most defiantly see no point in taking something away that a lot of people enjoy.

 

I believe the nerf to bobs mythics was to put it in line with its level. When 75 was the cap you got this mythic weapon as the very last weapon in the game, so yeah it was very very strong for its level. Now new content has arrived they needed to make Bobs weapons actually be balanced as to stop people using them till level 90 because there is no better alternative until then. I think it is a welcome change to create more use of gavels level 75-100 gear :)

 

Ive been using Az since 74 and im 86 now xD Ive seen much greater numbers with that than bobs

 

1. Az is a mythic. It's going to be a bit better than a legendary in most cases.
2. Az can do more because it has a high max damage, but it has a much lower min dmg than Old Bob's bow.

 

Ok now im a little stressed out. Please if it needs a nerf notify us? Honestly? my Max return to ether walk speed bow got nerfed now..

Bob's Mythic Wand still does up to 255 which is more than that wand you mentioned...

 

The thing I don't think you see here is that Wynncraft, especially for me, has been an adventure and I love every minute I play on here. No matter how long it takes you to level, there is always a moment when you look back on old gear, old friends, old quests, old locations and think "damn, those were some good times". The 5 "specialty" mana weapons that each class could obtain, to me, where some of the most memorable moments on the server. Simply identifying a 11/4 sec mana bow and thinking "HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING" while swinging it in my friends faces and accepting trade requests to show everyone. Those are moments we need on the server. Those hidden gems may be "OP" for a unique item.. but they were special and most importantly could be obtained by everyone so its not as if it was unfair.

Another point I want to present to you is that this bow helped me SO MUCH from level 23-50 and it would have continued helping me if I hadn't decided to move onto a mage and thus giving the bow to a friend. That bow wasnt just an "op level 23", it was also a level 30, 50 ,80 and so on. It could be used as long as you'd like because it was that god damn helpful. Using that bow for traveling was amazing.. getting out of sticky situations.. everything.

I honestly feel that these hidden gems should be kept in the game. People highly appreciate them and its one of those rare finds that you come across at a young level and grow with it never needing to let it go. I enjoyed that factor while it lasted, having that one item you never had to get rid of that accompanied you on your never ending journey.

Also, no disrespect, but mana is scarce, especially at a low level.. right now with boats and horses being terribly laggy for a majority of us players.. all we can resort to is walking at a slow pace.

 

Hey people, you do realize that mana potions exist right?

 

Use a high mana regenerating / stealing weapon, then use on that ordinary one with pots. Let me know how that goes for you

 

Well, the reason you feel this way was because the bow was spoiling you, it was like getting free cookies without worry, I know, special moments are special, but when 4 items have mana regen. higher than a fucking level 90+ legendary chestplate, that's not a "hidden gem", that's shitty balancing, stop calling Wynncraft out just because it nerfed a broken, misbalanced item, and deal with it, just put a whole bunch of points into Intelligence if you want to travel by spell. (Unless you already did)
