How Damage Is Calculated

    Do u mean 5K or 500? Because 5K is still possible, if u have 20-60 for different elements, then it will add up and maybe do a lot of dmg. Like if u get lucky and get a high roll, then uppercut deals a ton of damge and strength kicks in, and plus u may have spell dmg on ur weapons/armour

    ... I literally said I meant 5k, then you ask if I meant 5k... and I don't have to get lucky to achieve that as I do it everytime

    id like to know too cuz ive had times where my arrow bomb and arrow shield will do 1000 dmg, and others where it does 30k.

    Alright, here's my theory on spell calculation:

    [(Damage * Speed Multiplier)Spell Multiplier] + Elemental Damage = Spell Output
    Spell Multiplier = Base Spell Multiplier * Percent IDs + Additive IDs
    Elemental Multiplier = [(Basic Damage * Elemental Damage Converter) + Elemental Damage from Weapon]Percent IDs + Additive IDs

    Note that this is a guess. I'll try and do it with a normal speed weapon and get my output in an edit, see how it works.

    EDIT: WOOOOO
    Okay, using a Chief spear, let's run it through on max damage, using Bash at tier 1, assuming no IDs.
    [(10)1.7] + 2 = 19 damage!

    BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!! CHIEF HAS FIRE DAMAGE! PRETTY SURE WE HAVE TO RUN IT THROUGH AGAIN. (also this is screwed up a bit if elemental damage through spells is converted)

    19 + 11 = 30

    So, thus, Chief will deal 30 damage per bash on a maximum roll. Not bad at all! If it's converted, then it'll be 27 damage per bash.

    Melee damage... (may not be totally accurate, I'm pretty sure this is how it works...)

    where:
    min - max X: your weapon's minimum and maximum melee damage. N: normal, E: earth, T: thunder,W: water, F: fire, A: air
    str or dex: your strength bonus when dex doesn't trigger, or your dex bonus when it does (they don't stack) (the calculated percentage and NOT the number of points)
    melee bonus: the total combined bonus bonus from "+/-x% melee damage" skills
    Earth, Thunder, Water, Fire, Air: the number of points in each skill. (NOT the calculated percent)
    Earth/Thunder/Water/Fire/Air Resistance: the amount of resistance your target has to the corresponding element
    Earth/Thunder/Water/Fire/Air Bonuse: the total combined bonus bonus from "+/-x% element damage" skills for the corresponding element

    (rnd(min - max N)*(str or dex)*(melee bonus))+(rnd(min - max E)*(str or dex)*(melee bonus)*(Earth Bonus)*(1+(Earth/100))-Earth Resistance)+(rnd(min - max T)*(str or dex)*(melee bonus)*(Thunder Bonus)*(1+(Thunder/100))-Thunder Resistance)+(rnd(min - max W)*(str or dex)*(Water Bonus)*(melee bonus)*(1+(Water/100))-Water Resistance)+(rnd(min - max F)*(str or dex)*(melee bonus)*(Fire Bonus)*(1+(Fire/100))-Fire Resistance)+(rnd(min - max A)*(str or dex)*(Air Bonus)*(melee bonus)*(1+(Air/100))-Air Resistance)


    Still not totally sure about how spells work, like awemanrank100 said, I'm not entirely sure how spells damage delegation works... Any GM's wanna weigh in here? I'd love to know more about the innards of WC and what makes it tick!

    I don't even know. This whole thing is an estimate and is likely different, try and see if Salted replies or something.
