@TheAule I went exploring myself in the canyons for 2 hours. You'd imagine I was disappointed when I found a hidden ice place filled with only air-ghost-weather enemies, but it turns out that it was the gavel-pseudo-air-dungeon, with a regular boss at the end. Perhaps I missed something in it, that alternatively leads to Gale's grave, but its location is across from the old gnome tree house complex.



In a chimera cave I went to the end, found a tier IV chest and a sign that said "Lily pads will show you the way"
There are some lily pads in the water in that room, but they are completely unrelated to a hidden button that leads into an (empty???) throne room of sorts with gold and emerald blocks.

Other than that, I cannot say I've found anything spectacular.

We're going to have to wait until the Tomb is found. I may be completely wrong and Selvut has been leading us in a massive circle. My clause did state that the payment was only to be delivered once the tomb has been discovered.

The air/ice dungeon is that. A dungeon. In several other threads I have commented on, staff have confirmed they are little mini-dungeons for 4 elements (not thunder), that contain nothing special (save the bosses).

That chimæra cave has a secret button that opens to maze. Past the maze, there is chamber with a loot III chest and a way out. Nothing else has been discovered there.

But congratulations on finding them! With an adventuring spirit like yours, if you find a few areas like this every now and then, and other people do the same, the whole of the Canyon can be cleared in a week or so!

 

:D thank you. Really the only area's I haven't looked at are some of the areas near the gnome treefort, by the water dungeon, Bantisu (though I found a tree shrine thing under a pool of water there), the cherry blossom area, and by ozoth's spire. I do not think I missed too much other than those areas, perhaps really check those and go through the canyon once or twice more, but that's all I can think of.

Also, though the dungeons are unrelated to this, perhaps the absence of the south wind in the boss chamber means something? Also, though the sign said the lily pads held the key, there were no puzzles related to them. And I distinctly recall the pool of magic lily pads in Aldorei, which is in the south of gavel. I am going to double check there really quick anyway xD (its probs unrelated and several people have checked the area, but meh one last go)

Has anyone explored the dark forest/lexdale yet?

 

A reply full of places and questions, I like it!

I have searched Bantisu and found nothing very exciting pertaining to Gale. I've been avoiding the areas around Thanos, I just don't like fire. The Cherry Blossom area has been confirmed to be a removed quest, and players have found no grave there.

The absence of the south wind might be because the entrance comes from the south, that is the only thing I could think of. "The lily pads hold the key" in that cave, look for lilypads in the water. The 'magic' ones in Aldorei do nothing that I remember.

I have skimmed over Dark forest area, but I haven't really searched it, I went for more higher leveled area.

 

hm... what level is the gear? maybe it will be around those leveled items.

okay, the "recorder" was a wand, the "orange tissue" was a ball of fire, and the "fancy monocle" was supposed to be a kind of fire coming from my eye xD

I feel like people have given up at this point, it's useless to search for this without any more clues until the update is pushed.
