Are Jester Rings Broken?

I have 2 Jester Rings, one has 32% XP Bonus / 38% Loot Bonus while the other has 35% XP Bonus / 48% Loot Bonus.

I am aware that wearing 1 Jester Piece gives you -35% in both XP and Loot Bonus.

Without wearing any Jester Items, I have 35% XP Bonus and 25% Loot Bonus.

However, when I wear one of the Rings, (doesn't matter which one), my XP Bonus becomes 0 and Loot Bonus becomes -10%. Wearing both Rings does not change this.

It seems that only the set 'bonus' of the Rings are affecting me and their Identifications are not.

Are Jester Rings broken?

Two jester rings don't count as two parts of the set, only one. This means with a full jester set and 1 extra ring, you get no negatives for wearing the extra ring (which hopefully can be fixed soon).

Actually the set bonus for jester changes depending on how many pieces you have. Say when you have one of the three pieces equipped you get negative xp and loot bonus but with all three pieces you get plus 300 spell damage and 5% speed bonus along with some other stuff.

Are you sure? He says that without wearing any jester rings, he has 35% xp and 25% loot from armor. But when he wears one/two rings, he gets 0% xp and -10% loot. The id's would mostly counteract the set bonus, but they don't.

 

Yes, but 2 rings only activates one negative effect.

 

Ok it seems that my thread was a bit confusing, here's a easier explanation:

When I wear no Jester Rings: 35% XP / 25% Loot (from my Armor, Weapon etc)

When I wear 1 Jester Ring: 0% XP / -10% Loot

When I wear 2 Jester Rings: 0% XP / -10% Loot.

As long as I am wearing at least 1 Jester Ring, my XP/Loot Bonuses go negative. The Identifications don't even partially cancel it out.

I am also not wearing any other Jester Items.

Some people however only get the IDs and not the set bonus, giving them crazy xp and loot. O.o

 

im using a full 4 set and even when i take stuff off, i dont have this issue

i think that happens to me. i get close to 300% xp with my xp gear

 

You need to re-log for any accessory to take effect. (/class)

 

For the xp and loot bonus not to be negative or 0 you need the full set, though it is worth it as the full set is amazing. The reason you stay with 0% xp/ -10% loot bonus is because you have to re-log or re-select your class by doing /class to update the accessory stats.
