Mele And Spell - Whats The Dif.

I was talking recently to some people who said that arrow storm counted as male dmg. but its a spell. Assassin class specifically are their spells also considered mele or are the considered spell dmg. such as spin attack - multi - smoke bomb

 

The Right and Left click attacks are your Spells, and Melee is the default attack of the Weapon, Everyone has 4 spells, and 1 melee attack.

 

But I was talking to someone who is an archer and he stated the his arrow storm didn't get upgraded with spells dmg and that it was considered mele dmg

 

While it's odd (and imo should be changed), "Melee" is whatever you can use "easily;" the attacks that cost no mana (which are also the attacks that only require one button to use). "Spell" is well, spells. The click combos.

 

Dude his point is that arrow storm, which is normally a SPELL, counts as MELEE.

Anyways. From what I've heard this only applies to arrow storm, but I could be wrong

 

No it doesn't, I'm an Archer ingame. And After testing my Arrow Storm on my Bow it does absolutely 0 Melee Dmg when using the spell.

Bob's Mythic
Melee attack: 410-550 dmg; 1100 dmg per 1 arrow (im wearing armor)
Arrow Storm: 82-110 dmg; 112-220 dmg per hit of each arrow.

 

I dont think solid melee/spell is applied to excessively fast hitting spells. If it were, using third eye/millenium/triple jester would be vastly over powered. Same reason why melee damage wouldnt get added in assuming (i could be wrong on all of this though xD)

 

Every archer in my guild said it does... Along with most of the forums. What's the raw melee on your armor?

 

Nothing, Im really unsure how im doubling my melee dmg with just the normal attack. But that's not the concern with Arrow Storm.

My Arrow storm spell is doing about 190 Dmg Average, and 1000 dmg with the normal Spell. Bobs Mythic has no Elemental dmg, only raw.

 

So... You know you could test this by putting on gear that increases melee, right? If you put on melee gear and arrow storm damage increases, then arrow storm is affected by melee

 

Then show me visual proof of Arrow storm doing Melee dmg.

 

and how would I do that?

 

Well, considering the arrows of arrow storm do a percent of your melee damage, that's obviously to be expected
