The Amazing Race

So an idea occurred to me the other day- Speedrunning in Wynncraft. Specifically, an Amazing Race to be the fastest time to complete every dungeon in Wynn, using any utilities available to you.

There would be four brackets, one for each class. The player is allowed to use any in-game mechanics, but no glitches. For example, teleport scrolls are legit. Lag-flying is not. Quite simply, each applicant would submit a video anonymously (and in a non-public forum) as well as a small donation to the prize pool (32 EB, maybe?).

Additional clarification:
Players would be allowed to use a brown horse but nothing better
Walk speed armor is legit
Mini-dungeons do not count
Runs would be submitted by video. The time count from the time the player deposits the key with the Skeleton dungeon collector, and ends when they're teleported out of the silverfish dungeon.
you MUST solo every dungeon. If another unrelated player is in there, then that's fine. However, you cannot receive buffs or combat help from other players.

Then the four winning players would split the pot at the end.

What do y'all think? Is this something I should work to implement? Things I should change?

Sounds like a fun event... Would need to be moderated when it/if someone would be willing to host it. Then again, this could take several hours so..

 

Would mini-dungeons count?
Also, wouldn't the person who has the fastest speed build pretty much automatically win?

 

I was planning on having people upload videos that had a timer running. That way, people could do it on their own time, as well as have multiple chances and also there wouldn't be time zone conflict.

No, just the major ones.

Also, while speed builds would be better, you could re-stat your character if you cared, but agility and intelligence would both be good assets. Also most of the speed comes from knowledge of dungeons, not actual physical velocity. Knowing secrets of how to speedrun dungeons means more than an extra 25% walk speed.

Also before you mention it, I think a rule would have to be instituted regarding horses. I want things to be accessible to lower levels, and running between cities and dungeons could be a large factor. I haven't worked that one out, though.

What defines lagg flying? I know Warrior can sometimes go up when they charge (tho it's really tricky to time)

 

This sounds like fun... I might try it. So a lv 95 mage is fine right?
And does flying count as an in-game mechanic? ;D

 

That moment when you have 81% Walk Speed...

 

That might be enough to make a difference... But then again that means you have high agility, and can't spam mobility skills as much. Also, statting is part of the game.

 

I turn into Sanic teh Herdgehorg when I use Shadow Clone, which is usually more than enough to get me through a segment that needs it. If accompanied by an Archer, then Speedrunning is no challenge.

 

Sounds like your 32EB entrance fee will be money well spent.

Lag flying=using escape/charge while lagging to intentionally abuse the mechanic (This actually allows you to fly as though in creative mode until you get connection back)

Flying? As in spamming teleport or abusing lag?

Also I was more asking if this is something I should do. If I get enough support I'll put together a challenge, but don't make a video yet...

 

32EB? Seems pretty cheap to me with my > Stack of LE.

What class? And what about gear like Stratisformis and that mythic dagger with insane walk speed? I thought it was possible to break 200% with the right class + mythic weapons, and that doesn't even include Escape or Shadow Travel.
