GIVE US THE PATCH NOTES FOR THE RECENT UPDATE WHERE YOU RUINED THE BOB'S MYTHICS AND MERIDIAN

 

so your perfectly okay with using a lvl 75 weapon until early 90s? and your also okay with a lvl 23 having 10 base mana regen? cause i dont know about you but both of those scream overpowered to me.

 

You know what else screams overpowered? War Scream!

 

1. Bob's Mythic is legendary
2. EVERY CLASS HAS A 10/4s MANA REGEN WEAPON FOR LEVEL 20 AND ONLY THE ARCHER ONE GOT NERFED
3. Yes I am perfectly ok with both! At least the Mythics are still decent but now basic weapons beat meridian.

 

1. you do know old bobs beats out every single weapon in terms of dps until high 80s low 90s right? INCLUDING legendaries for those levels.
2. Weapons are not meant to have 10 mana regen base if you find one with that much report it to one of the moderators or better yet tell @Selvut283

 

It was set of high mana regen weapons for level 20e. Meridian, Stick of Brilliance, Blade of Wisdom, and idk the assassin one. It was clearly intended because every class has one and the item guide says the base mana regen is 10. So why nerf it? They made the game so much more fun, and now my archer that was based around meridian is trash.

And if we're talking about weapons being used for more levels than intendd, let me say how these mana regen weapons were amazing from level 20-100, many people used them, and I am definately not the only one mad about this. The mana regen on my meridian went from 13/4s to 2/4s, and now it's a worthless bow that should not have the rare tag.

They were not.

The mana system was planned to work extremely differently than it does now(I suspect it would have worked in hundreds rather than the current amount), and certain items such as the Stick of Brilliance and Meridian were planned and created before that system was scrapped, but their stats were never readjusted.

I assure you, Meridian is still plenty deserving of the rare tag, if only because of the increased damage it deals, but 10 average mana regen is not meant to be gotten by anything. The closest you can get is Aquarius, which is not only a legendary but also nearly Lv 100, and 'only' has an average of 7 mana regen.

 

The only problem with this is now items like blade of wisdom and stick of brilliance are completely worthless. And meridian could easily be unique.

For the levels they are intended to be used at, these items are quite useful. If you're judging their usefulness at higher levels(say, 35+), of course they won't be very good. There is better available to you by then.

Rare weapons don't always have better ID's than unique, but they DO get an extra boost to damage. Meridian deals a high amount of damage for its level, specifically due to the fact that it is a rare item, as well as having a good XP bonus.

You're judging these items far too harshly. The fact of the matter is they were overpowered, and soon they won't be. Have a more open mind. I hate pulling this card because it makes me sound like a complete jackass, but we're the ones who actually work with the items system. We test items thoroughly, and letting those items get into production as they were was a mistake on our part. We know how to design the items, you do not.

 

Intelligence is linked to water damage and mana. In addition, applying water powders(of which you will have recently gotten one thanks to The Relic Shrines quest) will boost that item's attack power far more, as intelligence boosts water damage.

Yes, of course. A legendary beats a unique. Oh however could we have made that mistake. In addition, the Blade of Wisdom is a water spear. The Legendary Smasher is a fire spear. They are designed for separate builds. The Smasher is highly sub-optimal for intelligence-based builds due to the fact that it reduces water damage by 15%.

Ivy is a slow, poison-oriented Earth bow. Life Extractor is a bow based around health-regeneration and life steal. While it deals about the same damage compared to Meridian, it has no powder slots and has a slow attack speed compared to Meridian's normal. A faster-speed weapon three levels lower matches a slower-speed weapon three levels later. That shows how powerful Meridian is in terms of damage, and it has a powder slot on it to boost that damage further. And, once again, you are comparing legendaries to items of an inferior tier, but even then Meridian has its perks. The Glacial Crest attacks slow, and has severe health reductions along with its high damage, while Nemract's Rage cannot boast the XP Bonus that Meridian does. Plus, both of them are higher level than Meridian, with the Crest being LV 27 and Rage being Lv 30, while Meridian is Lv 23.

It's hardly shoehorned. We have to at least try to cater to all skill builds, and if not Water-element, what would you suggest Blade of Wisdom be? It was here pre-Gavel so we can't exactly get rid of it.

And this was our mistake allowing such overpowered items to get into the game and spoil the playerbase.
