How Does Jester Set Work ?

Hello, I've recently bought a Jester Necklace with loot bonus 49%, mana steal 1/2s and xp bonus of 28%.
But for some reason, it says on the very bottom of the item's description:
"Set Bonus:
-35% Loot Bonus
-35% XP Bonus"
First of all, I am very happy with my purchase and I am not asking for a refund whatsoever, I knew it would give negative ratings, but my question is why ? Is this how it works? If so, what advantages does it give if that's the way it works? Because clearly it dropped my loot and XP bonus to the bottom of the ocean once used.
My current loot bonus is -10% and xp bonus is -1%.

 

Yes that'show it works. It's why it's called the "Jester" set. People will think they'll get so much XP and loot. Then when they equip it, it's like "Nope sorry lol". The advantage is when you get 2 or 3 items of the Jester set.

 

And if I had 2 or more Jester items, will it actually work and give the exp and loot bonus is should give ?

 

No, but you'll get a lot of Health. 2 items give you a lot of Melee damage, and all 3 gives you a lot of Spell Damage on top of that. However, you'll have -75% Loot Bonus and XP Bonus.

Can't you wear 2 rings 1 bracelet and 1 necklace? Or is it a glitch.

 

Also wondering about that, could you wear 2 rings and and nothing else, and only have the -25% xp and loot penalty, and have tons of xp/loot bonus, or will it count it as the -45% set bonus?

Two rings counts toward 1 set bonus.

 

Nope. I just tried them on. If you wear necklace/bracelet+2rings, it still gives you the 3 piece bonus. However, if you wear all 4, it will only count as you wearing 3 pieces.

 

Actually, two of any jester item will give you the second set bonus, even though the items may say otherwise. If you check your compass while wearing only two rings, you'll notice the +400 hp and +200 melee damage. The same also applies to wearing two rings and only one other jester item, only you get the third set bonus (the items display the second one). I own a full jester set and I've tested this.

Oh, really? Has it always been like this? I seem to recall it being an unfixed glitch before, dunno for sure.
