I Can't Join The Server (even With Right Ip)

Dear Forum Peoples,

I cannot join the server no matter what, I type in the right ip, I enable resource packs, I double check, my friends even triple check. But no matter what, I can't join the server. It says that it cannot resolve hostname.

It because it play.wynncraft.com for both and no caps in name try that

 

The "Server Name" is simply what you title the server in your server list; it has nothing to do with the connection. You could name Wynn "Blocky RPG" and it would work.

Now, about this problem- I usually only get "Can't resolve hostname" when there's something wrong with my internet, but that usually affects all servers and it goes away when when the internet gets fixed. I'm not really sure what could be causing this problem, as I usually just have to refresh a couple times when I get the "Can't connect to server" message. If I were you I'd maybe wait a bit, either to see if the problem fixes itself or to see if someone with more knowledge of these types of problems comes to this thread and is able to answer your question.

 

This may be somewhat of a useless question, but are you playing on 1.8 (preferably 1.8.9)?
