What Is Going On Salted?

I understand Salted is trying his very best to get the servers up again, however, I just would like to know what happened to the servers over time. He took them down yesterday I think in the morning for his time, but what I don't understand is how the servers where completely packed on the release of gavel and worked better last week then the following week. Im in no rush, I am sure other people would like to know as well as myself. Best of luck to Salted and his team.

(The Wynncraft twitter if you do not know also stated that they should be back up by 'tonight' which was posted yesterday 12 hours ago.)

 

Clearly they're just now adding Dern and Fruma, while simultaneously beta-testing Justin Bieber's new album.

 

They might be running into some more huge problems. Jumla not being here is putting a massive damper on getting it going again as well IMO.

On vacation last I know of. He likes randomly going poof for long times for some reason....very bad for us, nice for him?

 

They are currently summoning a demon to wage destruction on all of humanity for our crimes with one single word: HYPE.

In all seriousness, I heard he's on vacation. He's the lead coder I think. Meaning he probably did the most work. Setting up plugins, creating them, making villager dialogue work, making weapons work, coding the plugin they use for mobs. I could go on.

 

He doesn't tell anyone? Just poof(1 week later) bam im back? That doens't sound like Jumla.

 

Well I hope Salted is ok doing it by himself, I dont think Wynncraft will be up for today or for a while.

I dont think it will take a whole week! But I think it will take maybe today, it really depends as they tweeted it should be up 'tonight' but something could have gotten in their way.

 

Yeah I agree, coding is very hard so I wouldn't be surprised. Waiting a few days is fine as long as when it comes back online everything is smooth :)

I agree it is way better to have a good working product then having a game were we crash every other ten minutes and only 5 working servers much like wynn before it went down yesterday

 

Salted doesn't do the coding. There are 3 coders other than Jumla. Two... I always forget both of their names. And then there is Crunkle, who is the one currently working on the bugs or whatever is being done.

 

Its just annoying that we DONT know anything! Leaving us in the dark is horrible :/

 

Well wynncraft is now up again anyways.

 

I wish the staff would tell us what happened, for the sake of curiousity. They always just say "Be patient." but they never give us any information about the crash. I really want to know what happened! They should be more open about this.
