I Lost A Good Weapon. Help?

I'm not sure what exactly happened, but I ended up loosing my bow. It literally disappeared from my inventory and a few moments later, the server crashed. I never found my bow again. If you were wondering what was the name of my bow, it is WitherString

The server has a fairly strict rule of not returning lost items. Sadly, there's no way to prove you had the item and genuinely lost it, as opposed to giving it away, trashing it, etc.
Even if you really did lose it, other people would see this and think, wow, I could say I lost something and get free stuff?
There'll always be someone who abuses the system, sadly, which ruins it a little for the rest of us. Sorry man.

 

I guess that's fair enough. I'm still disappointed though. Luckily enough, I had a better bow in my bank and I need one more level to use it
