Well, just for fun, lets fallow that. The ship is big, which is why he needed all those golems. So help row and sail and stuff. But if he is a line explorer, that still would require the ocean to be WAY bigger than we think, if it needs to go all the way down around the jungle to ToA

Eh yeah I want more info on Fantastic Voyage (that's the quest right?), one of the drawbacks of being invested in lore but too low a level (and the wiki won't update).
What I was saying about Lost was that Gateway island is probably impossible to get to by conventional means (not that it's a hallucination). Could be enchanted with some of the most powerful stealth spells ever created for all we know.

Someone else said that as well, but it would still appear in the map. AND players have been over whe whole ocean. Some would have found it.

Well I'm going to piggy back off what Tantibus said and say cartographer magic < island hiding magic
As for an ocean going all the way from Gavel around Fruma to Nessak just to have a boat there... well it's slightly less believable then someone deciding to make an odd house that looks like a boat. But only slightly and most likely scenarios aren't enough to go on in Wynncraft.

It might not need to go around fruma. If I am right on my new *cringes* Dern theory, then gateway island and the abandoned mines each have a portal to *shrudders* Dern, than thre is no actual province to the east or south. So instead of being in the llevengar side, it runs along the east where the desert is, until curving around the south side to Nessak from that end.

[Random theory that makes no sense] The ocean goes around all of Wynn so technically Wynn is an island. (I'm kidding, obviously)

But seriously, no offense guys, but we have gotten a bit off topic I think...

That's not a bad things. Some of my best stuff has come from going off topic.

But I really want to here what u guys think about the original post

(although the debating the possibility of an ocean going around fruma, the death of bob, and who was Mael Twain is in fact fun)

Well Dern is supposed to be a small, partly province, land of darkness. I don't think there's a portal to it from the abandoned mines (more of an opinion really but there hasn't been anything new on abandoned mines, the end portal frame, or other old lore-like points of interest, I've begun to think they might be red herring). I can't seem to make a sentence that's readable to state how difficult it would be to have a boat go all the way around the backside of Wynn from Gavel only to get frozen in Nessak and never recorded as the first landing of villagers in Wynn.

I understand going around with a. Boat would be difficult, but if you have a group of iron golems rowing for you...

Also, your wrong with the mines. Dern supposed to be dark. After going through the dark realm in fantastic voyage, where do you end up? In the mines.

Check out my Nilrem theory for more, I go much more in depth

At that point why not just have the Golems pick up the boat and carry it across Wynn to set it down in Nessak so it can freeze over for no apparent reason whatsoever
And yeah sorry still haven't done Fantastic Voyage.
Edit: Looking through your thread and it seems like you're kind of glossing over Fantastic Voyage details as if a reader (i.e. me) completed it. If it's not too much to ask could you run through the details of the quest for me? Or show me where it's been done already.

Granted even from those pictures it looks like there's plenty to suggest Dern is involved.

No that's not long enough at all. I mean long like tens of thousands of years. Not to be harsh, but do some research about land formation before attempting to theorize with it. These things take thousands to MILLIONS of years.

Here are my answers to this:
Part 1 Section A: I know that it isn't anywhere in Wynn. I also haven't done the quest myself. But it sounds like some sort of magical island. So maybe magic hides the island from plain sight?
Part 1 Section B: There is an entrance to Gavel near to Ahmsord. Maybe the rulers of cities like Llevigar and Cinfras didn't want to use the Canyon of the Lost to reach the eastern areas so they decided to use this place. But then, there was a storm. And some storms can be that big, so I wouldn't be surprised if the villagers were near the mountain border in the north of the ocean when the storm hit, sending them off course. Then they lost their way through the storm and accidently went south (I've done this in Wynn without storms so I really wouldn't be surprised if this happened to the Villagers with the storms).
Part 2: Well this is an interesting one. It is possible that there was once (or still is) an ocean the other side of these mountains. At some point maybe they flooded. We know that the Villagers are greedy and like prosperity through new goods, like the emeralds. So maybe they once went to the other side of Wynn. Or maybe there is another race of Villagers... who knows?
Part 3: Ok, two things. First, the Villagers could have come from the north just like I said in the last one. Second, why wouldn't the possible southern villagers not have golems like Gavel?
Part 4: Well yes, it could be the ancients. But let's think back to the light and dark thing while we are on the subject of WE. Maybe there are ancient forces we don't know about. And are the iron golems guarding the relic called iron golems? Just because they are iron golems in normal mc, doesn't mean they are in Wynn. And these are the powder relics. Powders are now going to be based around elements. Elements are sort of powers, each one unique. And these are relic shrines. Maybe an ancient race, not necessarily the Ancients themselves, made these shrines, inbuilt with the powers of the elements, so that they could worship them. Of course, the shrines needed guards. Elemental guards.

Except not really. The only thing that can't be reasoned well is why there's a ship too big for a river in Nessak.

The island could be hidden with magic.
The villager could have been frozen by an avalanche.
Iron Golems can be made outside of factories.
And Relics are left by anyone who had the power to leave them where they are.

But that does not explain the ship. The island could be outside of Wynn. The villager could of come here on that boat. The Iron Golems could of been made inside a factory. The relics.. ?????????

Anyways, I believe the iron golems guarding the relics are different to the ones guarding our citys, because they attack the player. We KNOW that nobody in Wynn knows how to make iron golems, BECUASE of the fact that otherwise people would make some. The only people I think that would know is the ancients, and they no longer exist so it would be impossible for anybody to get golems in Wynn without some outside help.

    But I don't know.
