It doesn't say he was killed by CoW, only by some creature in the jungle. Who said it was the jungle in Wynn?

I thought it was hinted he sacrificed himself to seal a dragon.
Alright so we have the Twain brothers existing and Theorick freezing Nessak both before the portal opened (Hundreds of years B.V.A.), Mael training Bob after the corruption had been here for quite some time, and Bob befriending Tarod before he died with Tarod being alive in 10 A.V.A.
Well it's possible Mael found a way to extend his life for hundreds of years with his knowledge of spirits.

On another note I found this on the wiki "Mooington built a temple, created Bovenism, and guarded himself with the native wanderers" is it true?

Often trade routes by sea are to avoid danger. It very well could've been that Llevigar was trading with Jofash dock via sea to avoid the bother of the canyons and having to go round the sky islands. So if you are saying that it doesn't make sense for the villagers to be trying to take a overseas trade route then no, it does does make sense.
I don't think all golems have to be made from villager flesh*, it's just that the particular compound of flesh and iron is very strong and the largest factory producing the golems (along the trade route to Wynn) uses that particular compound. Dwarves also make/use golems in Molten heights, in Dogovi there is a small building containing a "prototype golem" mob in an upstairs smithy room. It is very possible that those Golems guarding the relics (if they even are golems) are very old, worn out machines from before mass factories even started producing them. After all, in folklore a golem is usually very rudimentary, made from clay with a scroll stuck in its head to enchant it.

Although it is not really my place to say (I literally know very very little about unreleased lore); I'll say it anyway. Have some faith in Grian and Salted regarding lore.
Trust me when I say stuff that seems weird will be smoothed out. But hey, maybe the timeline is a little odd at times, but you can usually poke holes in fantasy if you find the weak points (especially in a game, which is a lot more than just an interactive story)

*Don't quote me on that. I need to re-read that quest.

Naw, the "dragon" as you call it was what bob defeated on Alive/Dead island

Also, don't you fight Maels ghost in house of Twain? I think the lore goes Mael dos after helping bob... I also have that lore, let me bring it up

Part 1: yes exactly. They were setting up a trade route over the ocean when they found Wynn. But the ocean is part of eynn. They were setting up an ocean trade route when they found he ocean? Makes no sense. Unless there is a second ocean that connects the the Wynn one.

Part 2: I am not super aware of the iron heart stuff, but I'm pretty sure that it is the only exporter of golems

Part 3: I am hoping it will streighten out. Last time I accused them of bad logic they hinted at fruma. I belive they will streighten it out, but only by saying one of my points is right (hopefully the ocean)

I was gonna say that. I did hear about a "new jungle" but if it's not in the map and I've not heated enough about it, I don't count it

Alright quick mentions on your original theories:
    1. I don't know what Jofash docks and Gateway island are, I assume a quest I haven't gotten to so a little explanation wouldn't hurt but what Tantibus said makes quite a bit of sense.
    2. Could that ship have been made for that river? Perhaps as a house on water? I think Golems can be by anyone with the right magic (with Golliers near Mt. Wynn showing what happens when things go a bit wrong) so it doesn't mean anything with Golems has to relate to Gavel.
    3. Could be a villager got stuck in an avalanche of sorts.
    4. About Golems... see 2., about relics in both provinces... coincidence? I mean both provinces are old, both probably have/had people wanting to hide powerful stuff.

3 I can not argue with

Gateway island is an island for a quest that I have become interested in. It's located in the ocean lore wise, but not map wise. Leads me to belive it's in a different ocean. The docks are by the sky islands and they r where you start the quest

That is definitely a boat made for the ocean, looking at size.

And I am sorry, but the golliers are a bad example. I can not tell you why without breaking any rules, so let's just say I have already covered that

And for number 4, coincidence would not explain why in both provinces the shrines are built in the exact same fashion

Well I'd say Gateway island is like the island in Lost, but I haven't watched Lost and it's story is all over the place.
I haven't seen it in awhile but isn't it all broken up? What if it was just a wonky house or something (take this suggestion with a bit of satire).
Just because of what the Golliers are 'guarding' doesn't mean you can't discuss it.

Little confused on what you mean about shattered minds as I haven't done that either :( and on the note to Nilrem are you talking about a shattered minds reward?
Also just try to be vague about Golliers (even though I'm pretty sure everyone knows what's located near them (if you're not it's Mt. Wynn))

Ok. The letter to Nilrem is found in gateway island, I even made a thread about it.

Shattered minds is a quest where you get high on shrooms. I'm not even kidding. The whole quest is just a bunch of halusinstions. You even fight a 1-shottable level 9001 mob called "final form yuyah" (or however you spell the mushroom guys name).

What i was saying is gateway island I probably a real place, not a hallucination

As for the Golliers, better safe than sorry
