I Am Confused

So what exactly happened in this "sever rollback" I've seen people talk about? I haven't been on enough to to know what's going on...

 

I haven't been on today, but now that I've seen this post, that makes me curious as well.....

 

I was one of the affected people, so I can tell you.

The issue happened only on 2 servers, server 14 and another one. In total, around 350ish people were affected.

The server went down into emergency maintenance mode, and was back up in a matter of 2 or so hours.

During the downtime, they rolled back the inventories of the people that were affected by the unexpected glitch to the inventories that they had during the 4th of January.

Now, if you know what a rollback means, you should know that everything gets reset to how it was on the 4th of January, including the quests that you have / haven't finished.

So I basically have to redo 5 quests, 2 of which I've already done. Hey, I'm not complaining, it's pretty cool to go through them again and still get the reward, although through this you're duping the quest rewards (Hunger of Gerts mask has been basically duped in my bank and inventory).

But, as a consolation "prize" for being one of the few "unlucky" people, we get a 300% boost on our XP and Drops (Luck) until the 10th of January. I have no idea if this stacks with EXP bombs, haven't tested.

I'm not actually sad to be affected by this bug, as I can bask in the dank reward the admins decided to give us. Thanks admins! :D

 

geez that really sucks... Do you know if players who weren't online were affected? (That white text tho)

Anyway, as far as I'm aware, they weren't since they didn't log on to these servers. However, I may be entirely wrong: Player A logs on to server 14 on the 5th, goes offline for 3 days, inventory may still be rollbacked cuz it was corrupted. It's not a pain in the ass for me as I didn't grind out any particularly sweet gear in those days, as I was just doing quests. However, I did just get a sweet new helmet while grinding in the area after thanos vaults :D

 

This is one of the many reasons why Wynncraft is better than most actual MMORPG games.

 

First of all I'm usually on the forums using a tablet... So idk how to put on dark theme..
Second of all, I don't know whether to consider it 'lucky' to have the bonuses because they really only just make up (and do a good job at it XD) for the rollback.
