Wynncraft Map Download?

Hello fellow internet persons! :3
So, I'll get straight to the point. If you can't tell by the title, I was hoping that there was some way I could get my hands on the minecraft map used in Wynncraft. It's fine even if it's just the Wynn province. The reason I'm asking for this is because I was thinking of making a minecraft animation based off Wynncraft. The only problem is I don't have a map to animate the characters on. If there is already a map download, could someone send me a link of it? Though if there isn't could someone on the Wynncraft team get it for me? If there are any secrets or whatever that you wouldn't want me to know it's fine if you remove them.

Wynn doesn't give out their map. It's fairly easy to recreate portions of the map itself if that's what you need.

 

Wynncraft won't sell or give out their map lol.

Get your own creativity and stop trying to steal (C)opyright Material.

 

What? :( Well, I guess that does make sense. I'm not that good of a builder and I doubt I would have enough time to recreate the parts of Wynncraft that I need. Oh well, I might just use someone else's map that looks similar to the Wynncraft style.

We don't steal your things, and you shouldn't be stealing Wynncraft's either...

 

I heard from some where that downloading the map is illegal (you could easily find secrets and get into places that you are normally not aloud to go into if you did and that is why it is probably against the rules) the Gms don't mention the "rule" because not very many people will try to download it. Everything I've said could be wrong so don't quote me on it. it is just info I've collected from being on wynn for over a year and a half :P

I'm never wanted to steal anything. I wanted the map to use as the base/terrain for an animation, and if I made it I would obviously credit the Wynncraft team.

They're fan animations by a youtuber named NinjaChirlieT, based off various Hypixel minigames. The maps in the videos are actual maps used in Hypixel.

I thought I would try to make something like this. Still, whatever. If they don't want be to do it then so be it. I'll just do something else I guess. xD

 

Can you show your animation skill then ?

 

There must be some way you people can get your hands on it. I've seen several Gavel renders, which means people have parts of the map.

Maybe you just need to have us trust you enough to trust you with the map.
The reason we originally (about half a year ago) made downloading illegal was that somebody claimed the map as their own. This technically isn't illegal, since WynnCraft is, as far as I know, not copyrighted other than the coding, but we did not like what happened.

I also want to point out to people who claim that this person is trying to "steal" our work, that I find that quite rude. He simply wants to do some nice things, which I fully support.

I don't really have anything to show right now, because I can't upload them as files. (They're incompatible with the website) Also, I don't have a youtube account, though I'm getting one in a few months, which is where I hope to post my animations on.

 

The Wynncraft map in its entirety isn't made avaliable to anyone, not even content team members. I think for most renders most likely they had approved use of a client side world downloader that saves nearby chunks. That's a little bit of an educated guess though. However, most members of the team, myself included, don't have the authority to offer you something like that. Maybe PM Grian on the forums, he sometimes responds.

 

Nope. This could be changed to manipulate secrets and it's too hard to remove all of them just for one person.

There's a mod called worlddownloader that allows you to copy 16*16 chunk sections into worldedit templates (? is that what they're called) and then paste into your own world with either MCEDIT or WE. That's the best I can do.

 

That is exactly what you can't do. By using it, you crash your game.
If you want a piece of the map, you could potentially ask Grian like Sage said.

 

The easiest and less time consuming way is to re-build everything by yourself :O well PR just rebuild the parts you want to do stuffs with... a small part cant be that big problem to get permission to download :/

 

Giving a 'small area' doesn't just happen.
A new world would have to be created with Schematics, and be pasted here.
This all can only be done by Admins, and would take valuable time from their day, which is yet another reason they don't do this.

Ik it isnt easy, maybe people like you, other builders or former staff have a chanse i beleve (or very thrustworthy friends) but yeah, compared to getting the whole province this is so much higher chanses even doe the chanses are realy low. Let me say what i meant (wasnt clear enough O.o) its not a big problem compared to getting the whole province =)
