Pirate Trove Not Working?

    hey peeps, i have a problem with pirate trove. On clue 3 i went to the villager gaurd and found the treasure inside him. my quest book says Clue 3: In an emerald fountain, surrounded by the wealth of villagers. when i try to go inside, it says You have no reason to go here. What do i do????
