Gavel! Is It Really An Improvement?

Alright, the Gavel world is all cool and stuff, but the Id thing and the stat requirements and all those new shenanigans, one clear thing:
SALTED AND GRIAN AND JUMLA ARE TRYING TOO HARD!
i appreciate you guys trying your best for Wynncraft, but I dislike the complexity of this new version. KISS, Keep It Simple Silly! You don't need to have those fancy new things! The Old Wynncraft was fine! Raise level cap, a new areas, I'm all cool with that! But the other new features ruin Wynncraft! It doesn't have the same feel! The Wynncraft now is starting to feel like a whole new game, and I don't like it. I don't know about anyone else, post your opinion! I want to see all points of view, and maybe learn something I originally didn't know. (Or just tell me personally before this post gets removed :p) As for the Mods and Owners, please let this thread stay up so i could learn some more! I would really appreciate that!

Everyone one is staying on their old high level characters while either grian or Salted said it would be better to start anew. Maybe that's the issue.

I've found that starting fresh is the best way to go. If you choose an element, then the Stat. Requirements shouldn't bother you too much as long as you stick to your element. As well as this, Salted said that every item has a "Soul", which I've found true. Bigger numbers don't always mean a better weapon, and I've had no problems adjusting to the new playstyle.

What I've found is, there is no such thing as a "Best" or "Better weapon/armor anymore. You can go from level 75 to 100 with the Bob's mythic, and you could still be using one of the better items in the game, cause there really IS NO better/best items anymore.

 

True. I'm still using a Relic Wand at lvl 71, but that's probably cause I haven't been able to find better

 

I like the changes, and don't really worry about the stuff that requires stats becuase if it requires a skill that I don't have enough off, than it won't work with my build. It adds more to the game. You used to always being on a quest to find the best pants with the highest numbers, while in the back of your mind you know there are always better pants with higher numbers. Now, you might find pants with higher numbers, but you don't have to wear them if you don't like the ID's, or if they require something you don't have. You're no longer try to keep up with the latest trend, instead you're making your own.

I mean, you probably adjust faster, which is a good thing for you, but honestly, I find that some of these new elements and stat requirements to be a little pointless and dumb

Not just you tbh others found the update to be irritating for this reason, but on the stream grian and salted did say item would have alot more character although you should of looked at all your gear to see whether you wouldn't be able to lose gear also it gives the game so much more variety you can have tons of different builds such as:
an archer tank (earth, fire)
a heavily tanky ninja (earth)
a lightning fast spell spamming ninja (water, lightning)
and many more...

Sadly, this isn't true. Eventually there will be a meta build that does the most damage or something. But there will always be a best weapon, such as cluster or hive infused. Just depends on your build. Most likely though there will be a meta build

 

Starting a new character is definitely much easier than trying to figure things out on your old level 75. I really enjoy the new element system and the variety it brings to the classes. However, finding a bunch of items that don't match your build can be rather frustrating. I was stuck with leather boots until level 40. The mobs seem to hit a lot harder now, (might just be me) adding in some nice difficulty. I found Gavel to be a nice update to the server, with the exception of the massive swarm of players due to hype.

 

Could you say something that they added wich was complexed and you didn't like?

 

But there will be multiple due to the fact we have to take elements into account, so what I'm saying is we won't have just one best, because there are many bests, and they all go for a play style.
