So this is what I am doing with my mage build. I don't know exactly how well this will work later game, so I want your guys opinion.
btw I am currently lvl 45 if that means anything to you

So I am trying to balance all my skill points so they are even. And then I am using water, thunder, and air stuff (armor, weapons, and accessories) to boost those points. So basically all even, plus int, dex, and agi boosts.

I am doing this because I want my character to be a jack of all trades. decent in all categories. And as a mage, I am used to using a lot of spells, so I have the water buff. The air and thunder is because I can not stand hitting slowly, I would rather hit 100 times doing 1 damage than 1 time doing 100 damage.

So yeah, that's my build. I would really appreciate the feedback so I don't accidentally make a suicide build!

Ive seen a few people say that, but I am not sure why. But either way thats why I am using the water air and thunder boosts.

I did this before the update, and it worked to an extent. I was strong enough, but it was nothing insane as I only had 20 in each point (bit more in int. Def. str.). Now though, I don't think it will work. You have to remember that some of the elements cancle each other out now, especially when on armor. Take earth and lightning(or air I forget which does what) for example, earth boost your damage, but makes you slower, while lightning increase speed, but decrease damage. Each element buffs one thing, and decreases another, and what it increases maybe decreased by another element. Also, Ibelieve you can get a total of 200 Skill Points (correct me if I'm wrong) and there are 5 skills, so you would only have 40 points in each, By max level.

good point. I was not aware that they cancel each other out, I will have to look into that. And the thing about only having 40 skill points each, well that's why I have the elemental boosts

My stats for my mage are 50 str 60 intel and 30 def. It works out for me very well in dueling and defeating mobs.

You're better off replacing agility with defense and dexterity with strength. When it comes to damage reduction or increase, they're the same on average, but defense and strength both boost meteor damae.

true. The only problem I have with replacing agility with strength is that is lowers your attack speed. I HATE that. The only reason I have dexterity is because I thought it also helped attack speed. I think I might change that though

    Meteor deals fire damage.

Strength doesn't lower attack speed, and dexterity doesn't increase it. It's just that earth weapons usually have a slow attack speed and thunder high.
