Questions About The New System

I have a few questions about the new skill point and element system that was integrated with Gavel... Note, the only reason I am asking this is that I'm both too lazy and too broke to be able to test this myself (mostly the former though). And please don't hate on me if you think my questions are stupid...

Question 1: Before the Gavel update, raising your strength build would increase the damage of both your basic attacks and your spells. However, with the Gavel update, upgrading you intelligence (water) build increases your spell damage. I was wondering if increasing you strength (earth) build still has an a positive, negative, or neutral affect on spell damage. (I'm pretty sure this was mentioned somewhere but I can't find it :P)

Question 2: I am slightly very confused about dps. Slower attack speed weapons generally have higher damage that fast attack speed weapons. That means that spell damage his higher for slower weapons than faster weapons (at least according to my compass when I compared them). So, is the point of using fast attack speed items for the basic attack, or is the spell damage calculated on some other mechanic (like dps) and my compass is just too dumb to understand it.

Question 3: Why is grinding for xp physically impossible for lvls 85+?

 

Question 3 - not impossible but rly hard

 

I object, 1% every 7 minutes as a lvl 89 (if you got something better than pls do tell ;-;)

 

Read the changelog and watch the video. You'll understand eventually.

Grinding is not impossible. There are several level 100s as of right now.

fyi attack speed also increases spell dmg
faster swinging weps deal less dmg tho so since elemental resistance is set it can be less effective against bosses.

 

im lvl 87 and still didnt do 10 quests or more...

 

1: Earth increases Melee dmg, and some specific spells for the classes. (Melee is the basic attack all classes have)

2: The faster the weapon the more attacks you can do at any given period of time. You could do 100 dmg in 1 swing with a super slow weapon, or 10 dmg with 10 swings with a super fast weapon

 

I'm confused about attack speed's affect on spell damage, as @Leiptr kindly explained, not basic damage.

How much xp does each troll give? I thought it wasn't that much...

 

Attack speed is simply how fast you can use the weapon. It doesn't really have an effect on spell dmg nor Melee dmg

 

It does have an effect on Spell Damage, I'm pretty sure. I think a mod said it somewhere.

 

Question 1: Strength doesn't help with Spell Damage.

Question 2: I cant understand this question xD. forgetting what dps is

Question 3: It's a struggle... I know. Double XP is your only chance, and or doing quests

 

Yeah they don't give a lot, but there's a lot of them, so that makes up for it. Their spawn rates are through the roof.

 

Welp, if it gives more than 1% every 5 min then i'll be happy... sorta :P
