Do Phoenixes Lag Anyone Else?

I have been attempting to get to Ozoth for a while, but everytime I encounter a Phoenix i get shot by 200 projectiles, then my screen freezes and I die :D

 

Yes, there are very laggy for me. Whenever I go near there J have to alway adjust my settings just to play. It shows how much I need a new computer ;_;

 

What settings do you use @BigMacYoshi ?

 

They don't lag me at all, but i have a pretty beefy PC... They do killsteal from me a lot though...

 

I get the odd freeze around them, it's to do with their wings being a 3d animated model of a block item.

 

I usually run on 12 render distance (optifine) and with all particles on, but every so often I have to turn the render distance down about and turn particles off

 

I have to set render distance to about .5 chunks when I pass by. It's a serious problem for me.

 

Just spam earth spells for no lag :P
It will be better if you killed them faster

 

I've tried but they have a high spawn rate :/
