You have probably skipped a quest stage advancement at some point, or just forgot to finish part of a quest.
Check your quest book and see if it conflicts with what you're trying to do.
If not, run around and see if lag caused you to miss a quest book update.

 

I got this problem too :p
You have to go back (You're an assassin, so /kill needed), and do not jump/sprint 2fast while navigating through the cave
You just skipped some text, that's why the game prevents you from entering the cave

Have you retrieved the Sound Proof Earmuff?

 

You see, the part when you couldn't continue in the cave because you weren't wearing the helmet ?
Try to get to this little part of the cave and try to activate a text
