2015 Recap

It's that time again. A year full of ups and down, love and pain, hype and boredom. I mean, we can't escape a recap when we've had so much going on, good and bad.

Go ahead, share whatever the heck you want. Anything you remember. It's been a pretty crazy year.

And I guess I'll start, with one of the biggest things:


The Death of Satoru Iwata.

Honestly, you can't really get anywhere in some gaming-related forum without this getting mentioned. I mean, his influence on Nintendo, gaming in general and even the internet, has been huge.

He is the reason why we have great games such as Pokemon Gold/Silver, Kirby, Super Smash Bros. and Earthbound.

Lemme remind you that Earthbound was one of the biggest inspirations for Undertale, especially the True Pacifist ending.

He managed to get the gaming industry to focus on revolution instead of simply better hardware.

When Nintendo got two years of losses in a row, he cut his own pay in half just so he didn't have to fire anyone.

This was only a very, very brief set of things that Satoru Iwata's done. If you want to know the entire story, watch this video.

On his business card, he was the President of Nintendo.
In his mind, he was a programmer.
But in his heart, he was a gamer.

Paris Attacks by terrorists happened.
ISIS & their Bombing, need I say more.
Undertale was released and hyped about this year.
PillowPet hosted 2 amazing events on Wynncraft, which lead to the downfall of events.
The Great Forum Wipe of 9/7. Never Forget.
Gay Marriage Rights.
Some other stuff that others will recap.

Something Personal:
I feel like 2015 was the year I became more active on the forums.

 

I began to become more active on the forums

Acieved 4,000+ kills on Hypixel SkyWars, including getting my fave kit Pyro which gives me the magic of a Fire Dragon Slayer (jks, but it feels like it!)

Becoming better at PvP

Almost lvled my Archer to 60 (currently 59)

Edit: Managed to get into my first event. The Award Ceremony and Valkyrie Alliance <3 (I attended these and there was this cool after party!)

 

This was a year a I changed a lot personally, I became more mature and serious. (thanks puberty.)

But also, this has been the worst year of my bloody life. And I do not look positive towards the future.

 

Donald Trump became popular.
Isis.
Deez nuts, John Cena, and What are those rose into glory and gave me cancer at school.
Satoru Iwata's death.
Gavel.
And a bunch of other stuff I didn't mention.

That pretty much wraps one of the worst years of my life.

 

Well, hopefully things do end up for the better this year. ^^
