Fall Damage

    Since the Gavel expansion came out the damage i take from falling is ridiculous, for example the quest: Craftmas Chaos, I can't finish the quest because you fall in multiple pits throughout the quest one pit even completely kills me when full health.
    This also goes for fire/lava damage but i don't know if thats gonna be an issue in the later quests (i am only level 34).

    If there is a solution to this then i would like to know because i really don't want to cross that ocean again ;-;

    Yeah, I noticed that. Some quests aren't optimized for fall damage. I would just send in a bug report or something. Fire/lava is avoidable (for the most part), so you should be fine with that. Before, with good enough armor, fire/lava did zero damage. So they wanted to make it more of a legitimate hazard.

    I managed to get through Craftmas Chaos alright with the armour I had yesterday, (level 30-ish stuff), so it could depend on the amount of additional health you can get.

    And yeah, that lava was a pain in the butt. Thank goodness mages can teleport out quickly. (Into another lava pit. :( )
    And I'll talk to some other CT members about that fire at Santa's place. It knocks a fair bit out from your health when you pass through.

    As a mage you can look straight down and spam tp to take less fall damage, I think archers can kinda glide down but if ur a warrior or a assassin (and if archers take fall damage even after slow falling) just do /class mid fall and it'll reset ur fall amount :) If you really die from 1 fall you should have plenty of time to do that heh.

    As long as the Warrior uses Charge they take no fall damage :3
    Every time I exit Llevigar bank I charge off of the cliff to save time going down the hill. They can also charge mid-air if they are suddenly dropped. As long as Charge is activated before they land, no fall damage is taken. So, all-in-all, Warriors never even notice the fall damage since most of us Charge all over the place :D
    Even if damage is taken, I believe the Def boost from War Scream would minimize it even further. Honestly Warrior isn't even affected by these updates :3
    Only change is that we can't bathe in lava anymore. Assassin is the only class that got hit hard with this update XD

    Edit: Did not know about the /class thing resetting your fall. This will be useful one day, thanks :3

    I just had to do a quest with archer and the fire that gets put on you after you fall into lava is ridiculous. It lasts for ~15 seconds and costed me 4 health potions lol

    as everybody now says about the update,
    USE HEALING POTIONS!!
    or, if you are a mage, remember to always heal yourself!

    Fire affects all the classes though ;)
    In terms of a direct nerf, I feel that Assasin was the main class affected by all this.

    The "big jump" is fixed but just waiting for a push on the live server. About the fire, we will need to test that, i think.

    Or you could deal poison damage with an incredible life steal and mana steal, therefore not needing any potions at all.

    sadly some areas dont have mobs to attack.

    But mage's Heal can remove fire once you've walked out of it.

    Mages can also teleport to the ground before they hit it.

    The only defence an Assassin has against fall damage is Grade 3 Vanish (Shadow Travel, Level 46). Jump Boost provides some fall damage reduction, and will nullify a small amount of damage (but not much).

    I don't get what everyone's problem with fire is, seeing as I've fallen into Lava multiple times and been able to swim out and drink a healing potion, which overrides the damage taken to damage healed.

    Lava isn't too big a deal. Normally the problem is just that I fall into too big of a patch of it. Either that or I fall in and can't find a ledge to get up onto. Aside from that, yes, a simple health potion is enough to counteract fire and lava damage.

    Hence:
    I said Fire affects all the classes. I never once said it affects all classes significantly. Archers can Escape out of it, Warriors can Charge out and tend to have a 20% buff due to War Scream, Mages can heal, etc.
    Each class has their own way of canceling out the fire damage or escaping the now-lethal lava. When I stated that Lava/Fire now affects all classes, the point was exactly that. It affects all classes, not kills. In other words, lava is not equally lethal to all classes, I just meant that lava was now a threat to all classes, regardless of if they have an escape or heal that can negate it.
