    air and thunder is what I am using currently and it works quite well other combinations are fire and thunder as well as earth and thunder

    If I ever use archer, I will go for 110 air, 60 thunder, 28 earth. The air would get me any items with really high skill requirements (and air is appropriate for archer because it is speed related). The thunder would be like that because I can still get some decent items with thunder skill requirements and it is also mainly speed related. Finally, I would choose the earth because it gives high damage but I won't be limited to slow items, which isn't what you want if you are an archer.
