Shadow Of The Beast Quest Have Anyone Ever Bring The Escaped Cows Alive?

Is it possible to bring the cows alive back to Tolem. And have anyone ever done it? What happen if you bring them alive?
I can think of an idea to bring them alive using wheat, but I'm not going to use my scrolls to visit the wheat merchant or swim there. So I killed the cows

I didn't ask how to do the tasks, I was asking if anyone ever bring them alive, not killing them.

 

I have tried to bring them back alive, but the cows just don't move where you want them to.
I don't think bringing them back alive triggers the next quest stage, though.

You just gotta kill them.

 

it is part of the dialogue to kill them, thus that was the only option. wynn havnt got multiple dialogues when its not nessiscary and to be honest, using minecraft physics, does anyone really wanna push the cows back?

 

Who knows? using wheat to lure them?

You have to kill them for leather. I found two but only got one of them because I just got killed by about 8 Naga in the one in the cave. I'm looking for another bridge where the other could be but I'm not sure where that is... urgh I love the creatures in the swamp but I hate the swamp itself.
