SPOILER Jester Set Bonus

Hello!

I'm a set collector, and the first set I wanted to get, was this so-called "Jester set".
It includes a Ring, a Bracelet and a Necklace. Most people saw it as trash, since the set bonus with 1 piece gives -35% Loot Bonus and -35% XP Bonus. But it's not trash. It can be really good.

This here shows the Set bonuses with 1, 2 and 3 of the Jester Pieces.



As you can see, If you have 3 of the pieces, it gives you a significant Spell Damage boost, while with 2, your Melee damage gets a boost.
The downside of this set, is that you either have to be really lucky with your IDs, or it can only be used as an Endgame set for those who want to hit as hard as they can. (The Jester Necklace gives Mana steal, while the Ring gives Lifesteal and a boost of all stats. The Bracelet gives, as you can see, Poison damage. Poison + Life/Mana steal is really good.)

The reason I'm not using this, is because of the massive XP and loot bonus decrease. I would barely get any levels or drops while using this, if at all.

tl:dr
The Set is for endgame people, because it gives a good spell damage buff, but really nerfs your XP and Loot drop gain.

It's really good if you can get one with good XP and loot.

 

How do you guys even get these set items? I haven't found a single one ;-;
Do enemies just randomly drop them, or do specific enemies drop specific set items?

 

I believe it's just a rare drop. I've bought all of my 3 pieces though.

 

I thought the set would only apply when all were equipped (24 + 24 + 24 - 35). Seeing this it doesn't make it that good for grinding at all hehe. 300 spell damage is very nice, but I think the higher legendaries are also a good (or better) choice.

 

This could work with my offense-oriented warrior. (taurus + apocalypse anyone?) Thanks for bringing it up.

 

Huh... I think I'll try it :D looks really useful and strong with 3 pieces for endgame
