Mods Please Help, Glitch Or Nah?

So I did this quest named tribal aggression with my friend and it was double xp week right then we finished the quest and he got went from lvl 37 to lvl 41 and I went from lvl 36 to lvl 37 mods please help I'm so salty right now

Xp bombs provide an extra amount of xp during double xp events.

 

This could have happened for any number of reasons. It's probably not a glitch.

 

Most likely had a XP bonus.

 

It could be due to XP bonuses from armor and weapons, but I'm not certain. This is really a question for Jumla. A handful of people have claimed something similar, but the most likely answer still seems to be XP bonuses from armor.

Me to people were saying that you would level up 4 lvls with headluss hunt. But i did it with x3 exp and i only levelled once. I was lvl 64

 

I had the exact same issue with Tribal aggression a few weeks ago. My friend levelled from 37-41 and I went from 37-38. I think there might be something wrong here.
