Serious Happy Whatever Doesn't Offend You

-----I saw this the other day http://i.imgur.com/bsEyyzy.png and thought about how sensitive people really are to culture, why are we so sensitive to someone saying "Happy Hanukkah". That is called over-reacting, we don't need to be a community that flames at someone specific because they celebrate a different tradition due to their values and beliefs, we need to support or don't respond to them if we don't support it. We need to stop being rude, we should rather privately message or shout "Happy Hanukkah" back to the person who shouted Happy Hanukkah in the first place, or if someone said "Merry Christmas" do the same thing, it's the right thing and it's better than being rudimentary and very religious, let each other celebrate their own traditions rather than to put them down.
-----You don't need to do anything, but it's very nice in the season of giving to show respect and do nice things to each other, though we should carry it through the new year. Rather than flaming at people, leave them alone. You guys seem to be very aggressive when someone celebrates something other than Christmas, learn to be tolerant of other peoples beliefs, live up to your own ideals, and stop being such a big cock.



So...Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Santa Claus day(Like Christmas, but more giving than celebrating.) And if you're someone who can't stand any of these...MERRY WHATEVER THE FUCK DOESN'T OFFEND YOU.

I fully agree with you. Just because someone doesn't have the same culture as you doesn't mean you should flame at them.

If someone says Happy Hannukah/Christmas/Whatever just say thank you and move on with your life instead of getting offended. I'm quite sure they don't mean any offense and just meant it in a nice way.

This actually reminded me of my first Christmas on Wynn. I almost unfriended someone just because they celebrated a different thing.

When I look back to that day, I seriously just cringe so hard.


But, seriously. Happy Hanukkah to those (Jewish, I think) people.

 

I personally just say Happy Holidays. Makes me sound alien, but at least I don't feel offensive
