[easter Egg Hunting] I Found A Very Obscure Riddle?

So through some random exploration, I found a room hidden behind a waterfall with this very obscure riddle...

The First shall be noble, scholar and soldier both.
The Second shall be a natural leader of men. None shall achieve greater fame than he.
The Third shall be the Greatest Warlord known to history.
The Fourth shall be the great obsessor, seeking only glory, but glory is a lie.
The Fifth shall face the greatest test, and decide if all shall live, or die.

The peculiar thing about this is that this riddle is straight out of Matthew Reily's novel, The Five Greatest Warriors. The answers to the riddle, according to the book, are as follows...

The First - Moses
The Second - Jesus
The Third - Genghis Khan
The Fourth - Napolean Bonaparte
The Fifth - Jack West Jr (main character of the novel)

So I'm opening this thread for speculation on what this could mean and how it is important.

we can guess this explains why bob faked his death, maybe there is something in gavel (or maybe dern whatever) that if killed can cause the whole world destruction or that if he were to get rid of the source of corruption/decay the world would be out of balance, may i ask @SR71 what is this novel about? and what happens in the end (i haven't read it myself)
