I May Have Crashed Wynncraft (map Glitches)

So this is kind of interesting.

So I received a message on Skype about a weird thing in Nivla Forest: Apparently there was a whole chunk missing.

@xFred__ sent me the coordinates and I went out there to check it out. Lo and behold; a chunk was actually missing, an honest to god chunk.

A spider pushed me into the hole and then I died, of course, due to fall damage. Now, something odd happened. When I respawned, the server said I was in Maltic, but everything was superflat, the villagers and chickens were all around me in the superflat world and anywhere between 30-40 chunks were absolutely missing. Gone. I thought I was outside the map.

Then the server crashed. For everyone. Immediately.

So...what happened?

 

I saw a chunk bug like this too... In some quest i did it was just a big open chunk, i didn't go there because i used to have those on my old computur and then you just fell, fell and fell. And suddenly died. Used to be chunklag and this might me the server having the same problem with rendering some chunks? And i have no Idea why you spawned in flat world :v

 

I have seen many of those (mostly in the sea between Wynn and Gavel) they are all around the map and it may be a bug.

 

In the see you got some missing chunks to!!! But if you in them... you go to the latest city you was.....

Damnit how much time till server gets up? I litteraly JUST bought VIP+ and im afraid that im not going to get it

 

The server probably crashed for other reasons, usually when chunks are missing you "float" down them and you can see the void as they are not loaded. If the chunk was replaced by another chunk there is a good chance that other chunks are misplaced and broken too (back before gavel when this happened, about 90% of the time the ending of the ocean was flat). So you probably experienced the latter (you can't die of fall damage in unloaded chunks) :)
- Edit: Ohh btw, I see these chunks pretty much daily heh. More often the completely unloaded ones than the swapped ones but still.

 

GG, i hope Wynncraft is fixing that currently...

 

This really explains a lot. WHY do this to me on Christmas?

 

I was in Thanos doing the Vault Quest. I went through into the vault where you are supposed to be teleported. I was then teleported somewhere else besides a vault (the flat world with a bunch of chunks missing). I either may have taken part in accidentally crashing the server as well or it may have happened to multiple people.

In fact this chunk was an ancient portal opened by the undead. These have risen from their graves just for this moment in history.
You were guided to this point, to accomplish their goals. You were taken to this empty realm called Maltic where economy is flourishing.
You have now opened a rift for all beings to travel through, which was the entire purpose.
- And that was how Worid became "ill".

1. Go spend time with your family.
2. That's not how VIP works, you'll get it if the server is down or not.
3. Stop complaining, I've seen you posting EVERYWHERE that the server is down and you want it to be up. It's Christmas ffs...
