Help With Depressing Weapons

I started bob's lost soul quest yesterday and I got to the point where I needed depressing weapons, I knew how to get depressing weapons so I went to the emerald trail to farm them, after hours I still had none, my friends could get them fine so they gave me a depressing shear, but I still cant seem to be able to get them, am I doing something wrong? BTW I'm an archer that uses the frozen earth bow.

 

I think I read somewhere that they drop more often when you use gear that does NOT have loot bonus.
