The Feel Of Wynncraft Now

Wynncraft for me used to feel very good and nice. Don't get me wrong, it wasn;t bad at all. But I felt that back then Wynncraft was missing a few things. It felt a bit dirty, rust, grubby if you will. You felt like you were moving through quicksand. That was how I felt at sometimes. Though those times were few, they tainted my experience a tad bit too much for my liking. Back then I stopped playing Wynncraft at level 42. This was due to the quests being very few despite there were 50+ at the time. Then Gavel Came.

Ever since the update, I restarted my adventure. I may have been 42 but when I logged in at first, I felt misplaced when I walked into Gavel, like a baby in a conference room (Analogies galore!). I went in to give it a try but it didn't feel right. I started worrying. Did the upadate do something that I hadn't noticed? No. It was something completely different but similar all the same. I went onto the forums and read through some forum posts and saw that Grian recommended that people restart to level 1.

At first, I was very unsure about this. I felt like every other crybaby sod. What would all my hard 40 level XP work be for if I restarted? I did it none-the-less and I was glad I did. I felt like I had returned to where I should be. I didn't feel overwhelmed. I didn't feel unsure. By the time I finished the first quest, I was happy to keep going to level 40 even though I had done the level 40 prior quests already.

Gavel has removed the dirtiness that Wynncraft had before. It was polished (Besides the bugs that will be patched soon) and shiny. Not shiny like metal. But shiny like polished wood. Like you had made something old new again. Everything from the texture pack to the New AI left a good mark on me. In 2 days of lazy traveling and sight-seeing Wynncraft in new eyes, I have made it to level 16 and going. I have not hesitated for a second on restarting a quest because I am revisiting the new.

The feel is something you must get from the first moment, not from the 75th. It is like washing a plate too quickly. Take it slow and embrace Gavel's other features before getting to Gavel. Take the time to appreciate every aspect of the update and Wynn itself before you move in too fast.
