Death Lag

I was doing the Creeper Infiltration quest but something was odd. 1. My hotbox was left behind, I knew it since Pigmen hit me from over 10 blocks away melee.2. When I was about to die the server lag froze. Then when the lag stopped I got death msg spam and I went from 5 souls to 0. I had 2 legendary items and other good stuff but they all despawned :( .Please fix this (also want stuff back but that wont happen).
