SPOILER Guilt

WARNING: SPOILER FOR IRON HEART PART 2 QUEST




Man, this is brutal. So I get the bribe from the Dr., and I go to check my quest book, looking away from him, and while I'm reading "Take the bribe from Dr. (I forget his name) or go back to Detective Hart." I apparently talked to the Dr., and took up his offer. Granted, I would've anyways, because he bribes you with emeralds and a pair of pants and I really needed new leggings because i had leggings that gave me negative regen. So I identify the leggings and they're called "Shameful Greaves". That's the first hit the game gives you. Then, if you go talk to Detective Hart afterwards, he (she?) says "I hope you always do the right thing." That simply HURTS. So, I have some questions. Who did you go with? The Dr. or the Detective? Also, what happens if you go talk to the Detective?

 

I got the same problem as you... That bug make me hate Gavel so hard when I wanted to have happiness in it and we have no possibility to trade the price... I wanted to be a nice man, but I took the dark side...

 

Chances are I would've chosen the Dr. anyways. I'm just kinda curious what happens if you go back to the Detective.

EDIT: The Dr. also makes a very convincing argument.

 

I chose the Dr. It's funny because I did not even need pants. I just like the whole Mad Scientist and experimentation theme. Even had he not provided the argument he did, I likely still would have chosen him. Although yes, his argument was indeed pretty cool. People may argue that they never do anything, but that's as a player. Lore-wise, I'm sure they're relevant, so I greatly enjoyed this quest and the choice it gives you. Either be the noble adventurer and report his activities or succumb to the greed or reasoning and take the bribe, and allow his heinous experiments to continue :3
Couldn't wait to do this quest and I don't regret skipping like 9 quests to do it :D

 

Ehh, it's not as hurtful as an Undertale genocide run.

 

No kidding.

 

Do you even get a reward for picking the detective? xD
