Dern (theory)

Well all this gavel hype has got me thinking what about Dern? So I decided I would make a thread giving a theory of not where or when Dern will be released, but rather how it being underground might affect the way it works.
OK, to begin with dern will probably be made up of a ton of stained clay as it is the province affected by darkness. We can also go ahead and assume there are going to be little to none villagers as Dern was not explored by villagers in the lore.

This is more or less a guess but I hope I might be right.
