SPOILER Big Question About Gavel

Hi everyone,
in a few Days Gavel will be released (i think so), so i have a big queston:
Should i beginn with a new Character or keep playing my lvl63 Mage?
I mean, the Identifications of the Items will be gone, the whole items will be changed (the mobs will be changed too i think) and the Gameplay is just better.

 

I believe Grain, (and maybe Salted too), said it might be a good idea to start over fresh with a new class so you can ease into the whole new elemental system. They said it might be confusing to just jump in at a higher level because it gets a lot more complicated later on in the game.

So it's really still up to you, but I personally am going to start fresh so I can figure out this whole thing before I start messing with my 75's.

 

I asked the same thing, most people said that i should get a new one.

I reckon its the best choice, so you can get used to the new mechanics, but you won't get to see gavel the fastest.

 

In the stream before this, Grian recommended this. Now, both he and Salted recommend it. It is your choice, but the best thing to do is to restart. Why? Because it will take a while to get used to the new item system. You will likely have lost lots of le preparing identifications for Gavel (I myself lost a total of 5 le preparing for Gavel). Also, I haven't found it very fun in past updates when I did lots of low level quests with my high level mage. These quests become easy and easy is boring in the world of MMOs. This time I will restart, and I think a lot of people already want to. A lot of people who don't want to will probably realise how much everything has changed very quickly.

 

im gonna make a second archer cuz they said now the arrows are much more faster on shooting

 

I have been having this same dilemma! Part of me wants to go level up to 100 with my level 75 assassin first so that way I can "pave my own path" and be one of the first peopleto reach level 100. Another part of me wants to start over with Dark Wizard so that way I can "experience all of Gavel". I also don't want to level up to level 100 with assassin and then with Dark Wizard because I will already have done everything in Gavel.

This makes me more confident that starting fresh will be fine since at least there are some high level players who are going to be starting at level 1.

I would be left in the dust if I was the only level 75 starting at level 1 :(

 

You're definatelly not! A lot of high level players will start this update with a fresh character!

 

Grian and Salted have both suggested to start a new character slot to get the full experience of Gavel. As well as this, you'd be able to develop your character into a more elemental build much easier if you did it progressively, instead of being given a bunch of powerful stuff and having to mold that into something.

 

Ok, are there some 75's left that want to reach level 100 ?

I'm having the same problem, I don't know whether to start a new class or continue with my lvl 60 archer because it's taken a WHILE to get to lvl 60. I sort of feel like starting a new class to get the hang of the elements then after about an hour or so going on to my archer and exploring/sorting out my elements.

 

That's what I am planning on doing as well. I am going to make a new Warrior slot and play until it eases in elements and once I understand all the new features I am off to Gavel :3

 

This is NOT a spoiler and it isn't even on the right place to post this, but Salted has recomended that you start over to be able to learn the item system the way it was intended.

what the hell is gavel?

 

This keeps getting more and more relevant.
As everyone else is saying, Grian-chan and Salted-kun are saying that you'd have the best experience if you restarted.
