First off I want to say that I love the idea of attributes and elements linked to them, allowing people to go very in-depth with their build. I am a little skeptic about it though: let's take a look.

    Earth

    +Damage

    -Mobility
    -Attack speed
    -Spell effectiveness
    -Powder effectiveness

Earth looks like a severely underpowered element to me, with a lot of downsides and only one upside. Maybe the damage increase is huge and the reductions in attack speed, mobility, spell effectiveness and powder effectiveness are small but if it's not this way it looks to me like earth actually reduces overall damage with its weaker spells, weaker powders and slower attack speed.

    Air

    +Mobility

    -Damage

Air seems balanced, but kinda boring.

    Water

    +Spells

    -Attack damage

Attack damage on weapons has always been a minor attribute, (besides that it affects spell damage) so water actually seems fairly overpowered to me. The upside is huge and the downside is small.

    Thunder

    +Attack speed

    -Random

I'm not too sure on what Salted meant by how it's random (probably has to do with the fact that it's linked to the strength skill) but I think Thunder is balanced.

    Fire

    +Resistance
    +Health

    -Mobility

Fire also seems overpowered to me, with both health boosts and resistances which stack together for ultimate tankiness.

TL;DR: Fire and Water might be OP, Earth might be UP

My analysis isn't too accurate because I still don't completely understand how the attributes and elements work together (defence and fire, strength and earth etc.) but I hope it's good enough.

I might be completely wrong though and anyone is free to give their opinion!

Earth does make spell effectiveness go lower, it would do the same, just it wouldn't be as important, and idk where you got less powder effectiveness.

We won't really know until the update comes out and we actually get to try the elements.

I'm really waiting to see the change log, in detail, before I start trying to figure all of this out, but I like that you put this together. It's a start, no matter how much you may have to change it, if you want to work to build it up to a guide.

Everything won't be balanced right away, I'm sure they will balance out the elements over time
