The Binding Of Isaac: Rebirth/afterbirth

Just re-creating this thread from the forum wipe. Feel free to discuss all things Isaac here! Including but not limited to:

Personally, I just unlocked the secret greed mode character. He's a pain in the butt to get and play as. Not fun. Not fun at all.

 

[spoilerinos] Im kinda hoping that keeper would get a buff of some sort, maybe adding more heart canisters or making him actually able to increase them. instead of having 1-2 only. his unlocks arent very good either. for example it makes the darker coloured pennies (cents i believe they are called) into "sticky" wich means you gotta bomb em to pick them up. wich is just quite bs

 

You got 999 coins already? Jeez, I'm at like 400.
I'm mostly grinding out Hard mode stuff though. I want to get everything done for everyone apart from the Lost, and Mega Satan.
● Favorite Character: Pre-Afterbirth: Judas. Since Afterbirth is out.. Idk.
● Favorite Boss: Hush. Skilltest. (I don't like the continuem shots though)
● Items I hate: Obviously: Isaac's heart, Black bean, The poop, etc. Now Afterbirth is here also: Curse of the Tower and Cursed eye. (I used to like Cursed eye)
● Items I love: Tech X, absolute bae, and Sack Head.
● Synergies: 2many2name
● Ultra Greed be shakin' dat ass

 

Yea, I REALLY like Greed mode.

...and it's called using the D20 to break the game, get an op run, then use Glowing Hourglass to fight Ultra Greed over, and over, and over until gg.

 

Huhuhuhuhu Rebirth.

• Favorite Character) Lilith. I don't have Afterbirth, but even with the latest patch, I think Lilith is still the strongest character in Greed Mode.
• Favorite Boss) The Adversary. Shoots lasers, covers the room in darkness, and shatters the ground with a single punch. You can't get more awesome than that.
• Items I Hate) Mom's Knife. I'm sorry, but this item is just flat out boring. Stabs enemies? That's it?
• Items I Love) Mom's Contact, The Soul, The Pact, Ceremonial Robes, Infestation 2, Magic Mushroom, Libra, Torn Photo, 20/20, Head Of The Keeper, Crown of Light, Athame, Dead Eye, Incubus. Look at all these items I LOVE.
• Cool Synergies) Tammy's Head + Brimstone, Ludovico Technique + Strange Attractor + Mutant Spider
• I don't have Greed Mode.

SO HOW BOUT THOSE SACRIFICE ROOMS BUFFS EH

 

I'm quite new to The Binding of Issac, I picked up a copy on Black Friday with my buddy, and we played it for a few hours, although he had played before and I hadn't.

My reflexes are getting better while I play more and more, but I don't dare dream to compete with some of the stuff I have seen on YouTube.

 

Let me just tell you about the first time I played Greed:
I decided to try out the new "Greed" mode they added in the afterbirth expansion. I played as Eve as I'd recently unlocked her and liked her natural Whore of Babylon and Dead Bird. I was inexperienced with the terms of greed, but managed to survive a few rounds and proceeded to the next floor. This is where things got Bullsh*t. I unlocked the golden door to the second item room and found the Gnawed Leaf. For those that do not know, the Gnawed Leaf will make you completely invincible, provided you stay completely still (kinda like that leaked "Statue" item eh?). I then simply took half a heart of damage, stood still and let my bird do the work. Long story short, I progressed like this until Ultra Greed, getting a BFFS and other buffing items along the way. When I reached the fight with Ultra Greed, I took some damage, stood still, and did nothing. My Dead Bird set to work on Ultra Greed, and after a wait of doing nothing I won; and then I realised: I had no money because I spent all of it. R.I.P. Free Run.

 

So I just had a breaking run with Maggy, D20, Dank Bum, and Sack Head. Sadly I forgot to screenshot it. It was neat tho. Got to fight Mega Stan. He got deaded.

 

Well I haven't unlocked a lot of stuff but here it goes :V
Favourite Character: Azazel because I haven't unlocked the D6 yet
Favourite Boss: eeeehhhh Idk
Items you hate: Bob's Brain for obvious reasons, the r u a wizard hat, and Chaos, THE CURSED BLOODY EYE
Items you love: Bumbo is the best companion ever, Monstro's Lung is amazing, Brimstone <3, Polyphemus, and so many more
Synergies: Azazael + Monstro's Lung + Tiny Planet + Tammy's Head (extra)

 

• Favorite character: Issac + D6
• Favorite Boss: Little Horn
• Items you hate: Curse of the Tower.
• Items you love: Brimstone
• Kool Synergies: Tech X + Brimstone
• Greed Mode and Ultra Greed's butt: Killed them all

 

So uh... I did a keeper run yesterday.
