How To Set Up Your Own Private Bukkit 1.8 Server! [windows]

Hello everyone!
I am Ackro.

I have had a request of people saying I should once again open up my "How to set up your own private Bukkit 1.8 server!"-thread. So here you are! Remember, once again, this is only for Windows users.

You will need the following:

• Notepad++
• A Windows Computer
• WinRAR

This time I have put in three text files explaining exactly what you have to do. I did this to make it a lot easier for everyone. If you have any issues, feel free to comment and I will explain further.

Downloading this, you will get it in a .zip folder. You will need to simply drag the actual server folder out of the .zip folder.

I have included all the good-to-have plugins such as World Edit and Voxel Sniper. I have, however, also added other plugins such as Itemizer and HolgraphicDisplays. None of these are neccessary, and you can simply remove them by going into the "plugins" folder, and deleting the file and .jar of the plugin.

Be sure to read every single text document inside of it, because they are important. They aren't even long!

you can put a map on the bukkit server?

 

Yes, you can.

Grab the world folder (if it is from your singleplayer, go into .minecraft and then "Saves".) and drag it into the bukkit folder. Then go into the "server.txt", and find "Level-name:"
Type in the name of the world folder in there, and when you run the server it should load that world. Don't forget to save the text document after editing!

You know that having this download is against the Bukkit eula or thingy... And why do we need Winrar? And also please put in pictures and explain what these things do and what they are. Don't just give people a download and say just do that and you have a server. Teach them how it works and why it works.

 

I had this earlier, and nobody inflicted. If Bukkit decides to press charges or issue warnings, I will immediatly take it down.

Edit: I just want to point out that this is not the actual game software, but an addon rather. I am also not using it to gain profit, but just to share the addon itself.

Normally if u restart your pc it should work
This happens when 2 servers are running at the same time (from what I know)

 

which winRAR download is recommended?

 

Would you mind if I ask what you typed in as your IPv4? Could you also tell me what it says when you do the ipconfig thing?
I also get a feeling that you are doing other things to make other people able to join.

Download from there. If you have a 32bit PC you take the 32bit option, etc.

 

@Ackro, I don't think it is legal to share "premade" Spigot jar file. Everyone should download the buildtools and compile the jar file themselves. You should make a tutorial about how to get spigot.jar. (Your spigot seems to be outdated, the latest version is for mc 1.8.8).

In your server.properties, leave the "server-ip" blank.

 

I actually did take a look, and couldn't find anything wrong. I would appreaciate if you could provide a link and reference, because I don't want to do things illegally. I will however do this when I see the text.

I will take down the download for the time being, seeing as several people have pointed it out. I will put it back once I am sure it is safe.

As there is no information here anymore, this thread is currently useless. I will rework it when I find time, making it more legally pleasing.
