The Evolution Of The Wynncraft Map

Hello Wynncraftians!

So with Gavel getting ever so closer, I decided that we should all take the time and appreciate just how far this game has evolved throughout it's time. (Warning pictures may be a bit sketchy, there aren't that many pictures of the old maps).


The first and oldest looking map I found is this piece of art...:




Now as the updates came rolling in we got ourselves a sexy looking ocean and many, many different areas:

That castle in the first image located in the ocean is actually Bobs heavenly castle.

 

Wonder if there will ever be an update like Rediscover the province but rediscover the second province?

 

Aw, old ocean is so cute!

 

Reminds me more of a lake to be honest.

 

I remember when I would look at the Wynncraft map and see some work in progress areas in the bottom right corner and wonder... What are those big pillars? Was it an endgame dungeon?
Man. Times go by.

What really interests me is that castle that had been removed that is present in the middle of the first map's ocean. I wasn't playing wynncraft way back then.

 

Bob's Heavenly Castle I think it's called.

 

Was troms and the ocean added at the same time?

 

What is that thing which is in old ocean?!

 

I remember finding that castle when I was a complete noob.
I tried to get inside, or even on the island the castle was on, but gave up when I saw it wasn't finished ;-;

 

I remember the time when Elkurn wasn't even on the map yet, I couldn't figure out where I was at all. (Elkurn was still in progress but the buildings were in the real map half finished) So I was very lost for a long while.

 

it was a beautiful, sexy map there with some bikini , Great job builders!!! *and Salted ofc*

 

I remember sailing in the ocean and finding giant glowstone pillars with the words "Viking Ship Here" and "Viking Village", those kind of things. I guess that's where they were planning on adding the mountainous areas used in the Ice Nations quest...

Ah I'm getting too old so much evolution... we players are getting very old, I NEED YOUTH

 

Was never here at all those times, however my friend was at the time of the 2nd map.
