Media Wynn News S2 #4 Fourth Province Announced! Gavel Complete!

And my has it been a long time! As some of you know, I have delayed Wynn News due to uninteresting and bland reports as a result of the lack of news-worthy content. But lately, News has been reaching it's peak and I decided to end the break! So without further adieu, let's get into it.

Today we will be talking about a spoiler posted by Grian concerning a fourth Province, announced Beta Testing for Gavel, Gavels Completion, Quest Translations, and more so stay tuned!

The Fourth Province!



Recently, Grian has posted on a thread by @SPYROHAWK concerning potential inconstancy in Wynncraft's Lore ( https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/wynncrafts-storyline-is-all-wrong-and-i-can-prove-it.96293/ ). His reply was the following:

"Wynncraft's logic is not flawed.
You even said the answer in your own post, but then contradicted it later

In the lore of the game, people don't consider Dern a true "province" as they just see it as a "Far off dark land".
Meaning, there ARE still 3 primary provinces. (Although you should still think of Dern as a province)."But there are no more provinces" - This. This is where YOU are wrong. You'll find a new name surface in the update."


So we can be expecting a fourth province mentioned in the Gavel Update!

What was your initial reaction to finding out about this fourth province?


I kind of expected a fourth province, it has been confirmed that dern got destroyed long ago so I assumed a new province was built over its ruins.


What do you think this new province's theme will be? Like how Wynn is corruption.


Wynn's theme was corruption, Gavel's theme is going to be magic, I would like to say technology but that wont fit in with wynncraft's theme, so I guess its going to be some sort of archaic magic that will look like dead island.


What are your thoughts on how the Admins have already planned for after Dern? Or do you think it will come before Dern?


I think its good that the content team has an overall idea on how the provinces will work together, it makes it easier to build a more senseable world (if they made each province seperatly it wont make any sense as there wont be any mentions of gavel or dern).

Quest Translations!



Players all over the forums are translating threads from left to right! So far, we have translations for over seventeen different languages! Yuno is head translator, and her fellow imperial members also translate. Neat, huh?

Most agree that it is a result of our amazing community coming together to create something new and help each other better their Wynncraaft Experience! Congratulations to them!

Gavel Complete!



The time has come! Gavel is complete! Recently Wynncraft posted on twitter, "We have finished the Gavel map. The explorable province is finished. Just a handful of quests to fine tune and the content team is done." but they asked you to "Please bare in mind there is still a lot to do. But that's one big project off the checklist. This province took a year to build."

So take a moment to appreciate the hard work that finally led up to this moment!

Gavel Beta Testing

Having said that, a significant amount of testing is still needed to be done before a full release, so Beta Testers are being chosen as we speak to test Gavel!

As you know, Wynncraft is hosting a Twitter contest for early gameplay for Gavel. Are you afraid that any trolls or leakers will get chosen?


I am not afraid of any trolls or leakers being chosen, as that will not affect my personal experience in Gavel.


Do you think Beta Testing will ruin the player's Gavel experience?


I do not believe this test run will ruin the player's experience, as soon everyone else will experience the same thing or similar. As some things will most likely be bugged and have to be changed.


Do you think you will get picked as a beta tester?


I can not say anything about being picked as a tester. I believe it is purely luck-based.

@PillowPet apparently, the Wynncraft twitter page has confirmed a testing server will be up this weekend, with at least 20 beta testers being admitted to test Gavel.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go get my PC fixed - damn Star Wars: The Old Republic game mucking up my screen resolution >:(

 

My level of excitement, on a scale from 1-10, is at about an 11.

2 things.

First, I kindly ask you to get my permission before using my thread. I would probably have given permission anyway, but still, you should have sent a conversation to me asking.

Second, its not just four Provinces. The way Grian said it makes it sound like 3 main provinces, and then a bunch more...

 

But this word means goodbye.

 

Oh also your picture for the "fourth province" (Once again, there are bound to be more) Is just the portal to the dimension of light in Gavel...

Could Someone link me to ALL of the Wynn News Articles??? I would like to make a volume of them all. Will go perfectly with the Gavel Handbook! I know there is a hub but I cannot find it. Just the link to the hub please.

 

I think this is the second one so far.

 

I'm fairly sure that some were lost in the great 9/7/15 crash. Maybe you can recover a couple if you are lucky.
